He's a genius at predicting football game results
A passion for football greatly influenced James while growing up, leading him to make a promise to himself: he would follow “do what you love” advice and ensure that his career was based around football in some way. While playing the sport proved not to be his strong suit, James discovered he possessed a natural talent for writing that led to him covering matches for his school’s newsletters – his first foray into writing about the sport he adores.
Created in 2009, TonyBet is the brainchild of poker player, politician and philanthropist Antanas Guoga. TonyBet merged with well-respected brand OmniBet on its creation, the result of which brought about an exciting new business that focuses on sports and casino betting whatever your betting experience. In this TonyBet review we aim to run through the bookmakers’ betting services to give you an accurate overview of their business. Will they beat the big names in our ratings, such as our Bet365 review? Only time will tell.

Decent TonyBet casino games from reputable game producers
Our TonyBet sportsbook review starts off with a good, hard look at the bookmakers website. A good betting website offers an uncomplicated design which allows you to see all the different aspects of the website easily. In this regard, TonyBet does very well. The bookie’s website is mainly grey toned, but important areas are highlighted in orange, making them easy to find. To the top of the page is a header, which has links to sports, in play betting, casino and live casino as well as the bookmaker’s crowning glory, their international poker betting site. Is TonyBet a good betting site when it comes to organisation? We’d like to think so. But what about the types of betting markets?
TonyBet Website Usability
The number of sports on the TonyBet website are plentiful, with the bookie offering 24 different sports in total, including more obscure selections such as Aussie Rules and Martial Arts. These can be found on the left-hand side of the screen, making accessing them simple. Click one of the sports and the current bets available on that sport will appear in the middle of the screen. It’s similar to the site in our William Hill review; clear and simple to use.
To the top of the screen is access to the TonyBet login page which allows you to make deposits and withdrawals and update your personal details. The betting slip can be found on the right-hand side of the page and is easily amended before your bet is placed by updating your stake or adding additional bets. This is a website that is easily navigated, and designed in that classic style that allows swift betting.
The TonyBet Registration Form
We were relieved to find that TonyBet registration is as easy as the rest of the website. Signing up with the bookmaker consists of completing a one-page registration form and adding your personal details. Once completed you can opt in to any bookmaker sign up bonuses TonyBet has, including their 100% welcome bonus deal.
The Bonus Offer
Newcomers to the TonyBet website can take advantage of their latest welcome offer which awards bettors a 100% deposit match up to £50. This is an interesting deal which is given once you’ve added your first deposit and made qualifying bets of up to 10 times the deposit amount on betting markets with odds of 1.65 or better. The value of your bonus received depends on the value of your first deposit. Deposit £20 and the most you’ll receive back is another £20. The bonus funds only need to be wagered once and you will be able to draw the profits you make from the funds.

The 100% Matched Sign Up Deal in More Detail
The TonyBet welcome deal has a few terms and conditions attached to it, so it’s worth taking a look at that small print before signing up with the bookie. Is this the right deal for you? We’ve got a rundown of the bonus which will help you make up your mind.
The TonyBet bonus is awarded once you’ve deposited at least £10 as a new customer to their website. Once you’ve made your deposit you need to then opt in to the TonyBet bonus by going to your account settings and typing in the bonus code TONY50. As you’ve probably guessed, you’ll need to wager on either pre-match or in-play bets to get the bonus. In this case, you’ll be required to wager your deposit 10 times on live betting markets before you get the bonus cash. Bets that count towards the wagering requirement must be on odds of 1.65 and above, and also either single, multi, or system bets. You have 30 days to meet this wagering requirement. If you do not, your bonus will be made null and void.
After your qualifying bets are placed, you’ll receive your bonus. Remember that this will be worth the same value as your initial deposit. You have 10 days to use this bonus before it is removed from your account. Once it is wagered once on live betting with odds of 1.65 or above the bonus is yours to withdraw. We think this is a decent deal, which has given the TonyBet ratings a welcome boost.

App & Mobile
Many bookmakers have a mobile app which allows their players to wager while on the move – such as the one mentioned in our Betbright review. TonyBet is no exception, offering a betting app that can be used on both Android or Apple phones and tablets. Downloading the iOS or Android app can be done by visiting the TonyBet homepage and scrolling down to the bottom of any sports, casinos or poker page. We could not find the app on the Google or Apple store when completing a basic search for it. This shouldn’t be a problem as visiting the TonyBet website on your phone prompts you to immediately download the app, but it worth noting all the same.
More on the TonyBet App
Once installed the app’s design is quite different to the homepage, so may take some getting used to. Near the bottom of the screen are large buttons to select the different areas of the website. Below this is the registration or login link, a link to make a deposit, a betslip link and a search button.
The menu that is usually found on the left-hand side of the homepage is displayed in the middle of the screen, so for sports you’ll find a list of the different sports markets available. Clicking one brings up any sub-menus attached to these, and clicking a sub-menu brings up individual bets. Once selected, a bet will appear in your bet slip at the bottom of the page. The app betting process is a little long-winded, which has been reflected in our TonyBet ratings. The bookmaker has still scored a very respectable eight out of ten.
Specials & Extras
Most bookmakers have a casino. Some even have a live casino. But what sets TonyBet apart from most bookmakers is the sheer number of casino games available on their website. Many of these are table games, with the bookmaker paying a lot of attention to their card and dice games. There are a total of 53 table games on offer. This is much higher than some bookies who offer just a handful of table games to their players. Poker also has its own website section which offers advice, gives rules of various poker games and features exclusive tournaments that are world firsts.
Aside from the table and poker games; TonyBet has almost 200 different slot games which are provided by award winning game producers such as NetEnt and Microgaming. You should find something for everything here.

TonyBet Social Media
At the bottom of each page you’ll find social media links to each of the bookie’s social media pages. TonyBet have accounts on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram with different appearances for each. The Twitter account is focussed on the odds available on the bookies websites. You’ll find lots of information on promotions and who to bet on. The tone of their Twitter page is light-hearted with comedy memes added for effect.
Facebook on the other hand, is very relaxed and focuses more on customer interaction and raising a laugh with their fans. This is a great way of learning a little bit more about the bookie without being bogged down by facts. We love the relaxed tone of voice. Instagram is very image heavy, which is exactly what you’d expect of the bookie. This relies on lots of images with text over the top promoting their latest deals. Again, not text heavy, which is a huge bonus.
Payments & Limits
No TonyBet review would be complete without a rundown of the payment methods available on the bookies site. We have to say we were pretty impressed. The bookmaker allows you to place deposits using credit and debit cards, of which VISA and Mastercard are accepted. The bookie also allows deposits and withdrawals using bank transfer, which should appease those worried about whether to call TonyBet trustworthy. Other payment solutions include Skrill, Neteller, PayPal, Paysafecard, PaySera, and EcoPayz.
All of these payment methods are instant with the exception of bank transfer. This takes between three to five working days to arrive in your betting account.
While most of these payment methods can be used to withdraw, you won’t be able to use PaySafeCard or EcoPayz to receive any winnings you achieve. For all other payment methods the bookmaker uses a closed loop withdrawal policy, so where possible will return your winnings to the same betting account you last wagered with.
+ 7
TonyBet Betting Limits & Fees
The minimum that you can add to your betting account in one transaction is £10. This is the same across the board regardless of payment option used. The same figure is the minimum you can withdraw from your account. The bookmaker has not listed any maximum deposits or withdrawals on their account, so be sure to check with the bookmaker if you plan on making or receiving large transactions.
It is also worth noting that TonyBet deposits and withdrawals made using bank transfer are subject to fees. These may also be made larger if your payment provider also charges fees, too. All other payment methods are free from TonyBet fees. As always, check with your payment provider before making a deposit or withdrawal.
Support & VIP
Customer support is available on the TonyBet website via live chat, email and phone contact 24/7. The bookmaker has had a well documented issue with customer service in the past, which gained them a reputation as a poor bookmaker. This appears to have been addressed since their takeover by Betsson in 2016. Since then, we’ve seen little in the way of complaints. Those asking ‘Is TonyBet reliable?’ should be happy to see the bookie is making gains in this area of our TonyBet review.
One small area of note is the bookmaker address. While most international bookmakers display their UK address at the bottom of their homepage, TonyBet have not. In fact, the only address we could find for the bookmaker only was their Estonian address, which means contacting the bookie via post is not a possible. Still, this is a minor quibble which only slightly impedes the bookmakers’ score.
COMPANY INFORMATION
Company Name: Tipbet Ltd.
Address109, LEVEL 0, SIR WILLIAM REID GZIRA, GZR1033, MALTA
TonyBet once had a VIP scheme which rewarded the bettors of their website with extra bonuses if they wager on the sportsbook, casino or poker tournaments. The VIP scheme seems to be currently unavailable, although information on this still exists on the website. We’re unsure if this is still something that will be reinstated in the future, hence mentioning it in our review. For now, we’ll have to draw your attention to the various other promotions on the bookmaker’s website such as their £200 matched welcome bonus.
Licenses & Safety
When considering a bookmaker’s reliability, it’s important to check out the license they hold. As well as a license from their residing country, Estonia, TonyBet also holds a license in the UK. They are considered to have a very reliable reputation in the betting world, giving reassurance to those who are unsure about the security of TonyBet.
Aside from their licensing, TonyBet use various methods to protect their online bettor’s details from fraud. During registration a player is expected to set up a betting account which is protected by a username, password and security question. This personal information, along with payment details is encrypted and stored securely for the ultimate in protection.
Safe Betting at TonyBet
TonyBet has set in place a number of measures to support those who may have an issue with problem gambling. These include, but are not limited to, setting betting limits on your betting account, asking for a cool off period for a set amount of time and providing contact details of registered gambling support groups. These include Be Gamble Aware and GamCare.
TonyBet has also added their own gambling questionnaire to their website which allows players to assess whether they are either betting excessively or at risk of problem gambling. At the end of this quiz you are able to access a number of other support options depending on your score. We think that the bookie has done an excellent job of protecting their online players in this manner, and have given them a great rating to reflect that.
Tonybet Sports Betting
Betting Markets
Next up in our TonyBet review is a look at the betting markets the bookie offers. The bookmaker has 24 sports available, including ball games such as tennis, golf, cricket and football. Martial arts and other contact sports such as rugby union and rugby league also feature, as do esports, politics and entertainment wagers. Unusually, you won’t find horse or greyhound racing on TonyBet’s site.
Football is the betting market with the largest number of bets, hitting over 1000 bets compared to around 200-300 on other popular sports. Most sports are also offered internationally, with competitions from Europe, Asia and even further afield available. Take esports for example. At the time of writing the bookie had wagers from the Turkish leagues, Russia, China and North America. With such a huge number of sports markets across the board, we’re sure you’ll be entertained by the popular bookmaker. Its offerings are definitely as good as those found in our 188Bet review and 21Bet review.
Which Betting Options are Available at TonyBet?
Aside from single bets you can wager on multibets (Accumulators) and system bets, which allow you to bet on many outcomes at once. In multibets each selection on your betting slip must win to win your bet. With system bets you can combine several different betting combinations to cover multiple possible outcomes. Let’s have a look at a trixie bet on football as a demonstration:
A trixie consists of four bets between three selections. We’ll call them A, B and C. Of these selections there are four outcomes. AB, AC, BC and ABC. Any combination of these result in a payout. So, for example, if AB won, but C lost we’d receive money back for our AB win. If all three won then we would be paid out on four bets.
There are various system bets available on the TonyBet website. These include Heinz, which consists of 57 bets and a Yankee bet which has 11 different bets of six doubles, four trebles and a four-leg accumulator.
Betting Odds
When it comes to odds, very little differentiates between one bookmaker and another. Occasionally you’ll come across a bookmaker that gets their odds incredibly wrong, and these are exploited by canny bettors looking to make a decent profit. The chances of this occurring, though, are rare. A bookmakers’ odds are a reflection on their trustworthiness. A good bookmaker is regulated in the country the operate in, and many others. In the case of TonyBet, the bookie is licensed by the UK Gambling Commission – a respected entity in the betting world. Amongst other roles, the Gambling Commission ensures that odds offered by a bookie are fair, and reflect good value for money. By holding a license by the UKGC, you should be assured that odds offered help prove TonyBet trustworthy.
Players can, however, glean extra value from their bets through bookmakers’ odds boost deals. At TonyBet, these can be found on the ‘Event of the Day’ section of the sportsbook’ page. Click this link and you’ll find a number of specific bets that have had odds altered to increase the return to the player. Often, these will be combi-bets on specific sports markets. Keep an eye out for these as they change every day.
Limits
The minimum betting limit for a single bet is set at £1. This includes a combined betting event.
The maximum betting limit varies drastically depending the sport, championship, or type of betting event. There is no one rule for max betting limits and you’ll need to verify the amount once you have chosen which event you’ll be betting on. Each betting event is accompanied with a set of terms and conditions. You’ll be able to ascertain max betting limits by viewing the relevant terms and conditions.
Live Betting & Streaming
TonyBet have a number of live markets which are available both via mobile and on their desktop site. Like many sports features on their site the largest market is football, which outnumbers the other sports around two to one. Don’t worry if you’re not a fan of football, though. The bookie has live betting markets in tennis, basketball, e-sports and handball as a minimum. It’s possible that the bookie also offers live bets on other markets, but these were the ones around when we visited their website.
Despite many of the bookies features seemingly catered for UK players, the live betting markets cover a number of international countries. Football from Croatia, Norway and South Africa and handball from Denmark are some of the options on the site.
Live Streaming for all
TonyBet offers live streaming on a number of their sports as well as on all poker games. This shouldn’t come as a surprise to those that know that the bookie’s founder was a seasoned poker player; but it is nice to find a site that streams these tournaments.
As well as the live streaming on offer, players can also benefit from live scores, tips and statistics that help you wager on in-play action to make the most of your betting experience.
Product Summary & Conclusion
TonyBet has managed to create a sportsbook that combines traditional betting with a more, modern take on things. You’ll find a range of betting markets, many of which are live-streamed, and possess decent odds. There are fun promotions and the minimum betting limit is relatively low; punters from all walks of life can enjoy the services on offer. For live streaming, punters can switch between sports and poker, meaning there’s endless entertainment on offer.
TonyBet has also implemented a bonus offer which, if used properly, has great potential. You’ll be able to use your bonus on range of different sport. If you choose to use TonyBet, we’re confident you’ll find yourself immersed in the platform in no time!

TonyBet Review Conclusion
TonyBet scored an impressive 81 out of 100 points in our bookmaker rating. They may not be the biggest of brands, but despite not being a household name, have scored consistently well, only dropping a couple of points here and there for minor issues. The main crux of the Estonian website was solid, and built on an unusual backbone of sports betting and poker. Despite this it works well, establishing a thriving casino and adding relevant promotions into the mix.
It’s safe to say that the bookmaker will not be able to compete with the larger bookies such as William Hill and Betfair when it comes to budget or the number of betting markets they offer, but overall we think TonyBet represents good value for money, which is all that can be asked of a medium-sized bookie.
TonyBet Strengths and Weaknesses
There were a couple of minor points that were a disappointment at TonyBet. The first was the welcome bonus, which while generous required players to deposit and wager a sum of cash 12 times before the bonus was awarded. This ruled out those with smaller budgets, which was a real shame. It did, however, offer a great opportunity for those with more expendable income.
We were also disappointed to find their disappearing VIP scheme. Extinct web pages from the bookmaker’s website still exist online pointing out their great VIP deals, but the bookie appears to have removed the option to become a VIP from their website. This is a shame, and reinstating it will give them a little more edge over the bigger bookies.
