First Impressions

Our SportNation review team was impressed with how much information is displayed right off the bat. Whilst the website is not quite as polished as some of the bigger operators on the market, it appears professional and well laid out, with most of the options easily accessible. The main page has a lot to display and we were instantly struck by just how diverse the sportsbook is – an area in which SportNation ratings are almost universally high.

Design and Usability

The website is well laid out and most of the betting options are easily accessible. Our SportNation review team did find the main page appeared a little cluttered – there are numerous metrics, odds and sporting events displayed as soon as you land on the main page. However, for the most part, this is easy to navigate. The site has a reasonably simple, stripped back aesthetic and an inoffensive colour scheme. As we have noted, it lacks the graphic finesse of some of the bigger operators out there, but this does little to detract from the betting experience.

The main SportNation features are easily accessible via the tabs at the top of the screen. Here you will find the options for sports betting, casino, live casino, virtual sports and promotions. There are sub-menu options for each respective tab. SportNation conducts automated age verification checks, which usually happen behind the scenes, but new users will occasionally be required to submit documents to confirm their identity. The SportNation sign-up offer is the platform’s flagship promotion, offering a 50% sports deposit bonus on all new accounts. The offer covers all first-time deposits up to a maximum of £250. This means you can get a matched deposit bonus worth up to £125. You can make a larger deposit and still qualify for the offer, but the bonus amount will be capped at £125. Our review team found this to be a fairly generous offer, although users should be aware there are a few terms and conditions attached to the offer.

In order to withdraw any winnings accrued from bonus funds, players must wager a combined sum of 6x the bonus amount and bets must be made at minimum odds of 1.7. These conditions are fairly standard for deposit bonus offers, but our SportNation review also noted that the maximum contribution to turnover requirements per bet is £100 and multiple bets on the same market do not qualify. In addition, bets over £100 don’t count towards wagering. On the one hand, this can help prevent users from making rash decisions and losing larger amounts, but on the other hand, it does limit options when trying to make up the minimum bet requirement.

SportNation Casino Offers

Whilst the SportsNation sign-up offer is squarely aimed at sports betting fans, the platform also offers plenty of generous promotions to its casino customers. Appearance and usability

Our SportNation review was initially disappointed that the platform does not offer a standalone app – especially as mobile gaming is becoming increasingly popular. However, thanks to its simplistic design, the website transfers extremely well to smaller screens. The site is written in HTML 5, meaning it ports easily to both tablet and mobile-based browsers. There is virtually no loss of function and, save for the change in size, most users will notice very little difference.

Despite the website interface being somewhat busy, a combination of scrolling menus and innovative layout transfer makes the mobile site a pleasure to use.

Making Bets on the mobile site

SportNation have done an excellent job in making the mobile betting experience as seamless as possible. The betting slip remains hidden until you make a bet. However, it remains unobtrusive when continuing to browse the odds and other betting options and a handy ‘return to top’ tab makes it easy to quickly access. Our SportNation review team found that the site was highly responsive and it was easy to add and/or remove bets from the slip without any confusion or having to refresh the page.

Finally, our SportNation review was impressed with how well the live betting facility transferred to mobile versions of the site. Users will find that every feature available on the desktop site is present when using a phone or tablet.. There are options to change between game feeds and live stats at the touch of a button and any key events will show up as a notification whilst you browse the odds, allowing you to make decisions on the fly and react to events in real-time.

At this stage in our SportNation review, the platform is already shaping up to be a fairly solid provider of sportsbetting – with a highly accessible website and some great promotions. However, this really is just the tip of the iceberg and SportNation has plenty more to offer.

Funding your SportNation account

Limits

The minimum deposit for SportNation is just £10 for almost all payment methods. The only exception is PayPal, which requires a minimum of £25. When it comes to withdrawing funds, the minimum for debit or credit cards is £20, with PayPal again being slightly higher at £50.  Users should be aware of a couple of things before making a deposit.
