First Impression & Registration at Gamebookers
When visiting the Gamebookers site for the first time we were pleasantly surprised by its appearance. Not only bright and vibrant, the website was well organised with separate sections for important information. At the top of the homepage you’ll find headers for sports, live betting, casino and live casino bets. There’s also a link for mobile information, too. From here you’ll be able to download the Android and iOS mobile apps.
You can also access the bookmaker’s registration page from the top-right of the homepage. Once you’ve registered on the website this will then become the area you use to login to your Gamebookers account.
Good Website Usability
Navigating this sportsbook is a pleasant affair. When using the site we were struck first by how quickly it loads. At no time did we feel that the bookmaker wasn’t reliable or the website wasn’t up to the job. Our Gamebookers ratings reflect the fact that their sportsbook was clean, live betting loaded well every time we tested it. Payments were equally as swift, and are accessed through your account settings for ease of use. If you find yourself asking ‘is Gamebookers a good betting site?’ you should be pleasantly surprised by a quick sweep of their content.
An Easy Registration Process
If you are interested in registering with Gamebookers you need to click the ‘Register Now’ link from the top of the homepage. This brings up a three-step registration form which should take just a minute or two to complete. You’ll be asked a few basic questions such as your name and address. Adding a username and password is the next step and can add your payment details at the same time. It’s a completely seamless process, which is ideal for those looking to bet quickly on an upcoming market.
Well, what can we say? This Gamebookers review was doing so well, but now we’ve come unstuck. You see, there is no sportsbook sign up bonus on the Gamebookers website. There’s also no recurring offers for players to reward their loyalty. This goes across the board, with no bonuses for the casino or financial bets either. This is a great shame, as many bookmakers offer promotions to tempt their players. It’s possible that this is a temporary issue, though, as we saw promo code was available as a payment method on the Gamebookers site. All we know is for now, there’s nothing available.
But let’s not dwell on the negatives. Gamebookers excels when it comes to odds, and these more than make up for the average offering elsewhere. They even offer boosted odds on specific betting markets, which makes them very popular – and potentially prosperous – wagers.
More On Bonuses
Still no bookmaker bonuses to be found here. But, we couldn’t leave on such a negative point. You see, sometimes there’s a real benefit in not using gimmicky promotions. Bonuses often come with strict wagering requirements which can tie you down to placing bets when you don’t feel like it. Even worse, you may feel pressure on your part to wager when you can’t afford it. This can lead to financial issues in the future if careful planning isn’t done.
Another downside of betting using a bonus is the fact that you usually need to wager on odds over a certain figure to count. These could be higher than you’re used to, or worse, be completely unreasonable and result in a string of losses. It’s always important to use bonuses that are suitable for you, so if you’re offered a bookie’s promotion elsewhere, read those terms and conditions carefully.

What’s better than a mobile betting app? Two, that’s what! When it comes to mobile betting there is a dedicated mobile app for Android players and another for iOS players. Don’t worry though if you don’t own either of those phone brands. You can still use the mobile version of the Gamebookers website instead.
The mobile app can be downloaded by visiting the app store and searching for the app. Or, if you prefer you can download the app directly from the Gamebookers website. You’ll find the app on the ‘mobile’ page of the website, which you’ll find under its own header.
So, how does the app compare to the Gamebookers website? There’s very little difference to be honest. The app works as smoothly and effortlessly as the website, but on a smaller scale. You can access all of the website features on your mobile phone, including their rather comprehensive live betting markets. The mobile app has clearly been designed with the end user in mind, and using it is a joy. What more could you want?
More Mobile Fun
One thing that slightly lets the bookmaker down is their lack of mobile dedicated bonuses. This is something that others do so well, so it’s a shame that Gamebookers have not provided one of their own to their mobile users. Still, this seems to tow the line of what is seen on the rest of this bookmaker’s site. Don’t worry though, you can still use the Price Boost deals on the mobile version of the sportsbook or app if you prefer.
Gamebookers Specials & Extras
While our Gamebookers review is aimed squarely at sports betting, it would be terrible of us not to mention the great range of table games available on Gamebookers website. There are 34 different table games for you to choose from, with individual games of roulette, blackjack, baccarat, craps and poker available.
Roulette is by far the most common option, with 17 different types of roulette available. You’ll find European variations, American variations and even live roulette games available. Baccarat and blackjack both have live casino variants, too. The impressive content selection was rounded up by some markets not not usually seen online. Dragonrana roulette, for example, was a new experience for us. We’re also sure we’d remember if we’d played Terminator blackjack before. With games like this, it’s hard to say hasta la vista to Gamebookers website.
While it would have been nice to add a word or two about Gamebookers social media presence, it seems they’re not keen on tweeting or posting. Gamebookers have a Twitter user account, but this has not been updated since 2011, which is way before they were purchased by the GVC Group. Even worse, they have no Facebook page at all to communicate their brand message.
What we did find, though, was a well-thought out About Us page on their sportsbook and casino site that explained the business, their aspirations and even explained how to contact them for a job. We love this transparent attitude towards communication, which has earned them a couple of extra points in our bookmaker rating.
Gamebookers Payments & Limits
There are a wealth of payment methods available at Gamebookers. We counted a staggering 32 different options when navigating the website. Sadly, though, this information is not easily found on the homepage. Instead we needed to access the website’s FAQs to find deposit and withdrawal information. When we did, we were surprised to find a very comprehensive FAQ section with individual pages for each payment method. Each of these describe how to make a payment using your selected payment method, the benefits of using that payment method and any other information you might need to know. We have to admit we were pretty impressed with the amount of effort Gamebookers went to in order to inform and educate their readers.
It’s important to note that while there are 32 different payment methods on hand, not all of these are available to UK residents. Some are country specific, such as Teleingreso, which operates in Spain. If you’re a UK resident the options available to you are credit or debit card, Entropay, bank transfer, PaySafeCard, PayPal, Skrill and Skrill 1-tap and Neteller.
Deposit and Withdrawal Times
Deposit and withdrawal times vary depending on the payment method you opt for, but expect the average withdrawal request to take 24 hours to process and then three to five working days for the money to arrive with you. It is possible that eWallet services such as Neteller, Skrill and PayPal will take less time to process and could be with you within 24 hours of the payment being processed.
For deposits, most of the payment methods above are instant, with the exception of bank transfer which requires you to process the payment and contact the Gamebookers customer service team afterwards. The process of funds being sent to your betting account from a bank account will take between three and five working days.
Gamebookers Support & VIP
You can contact the Gamebookers support team via their help page by clicking the orange ‘contact us’ link at the top of the homepage. Here you’ll find two ways of contacting the bookie. The first is via online email form. There is also an FAQ available on the same page. Alternatively you can click the search links for information on specific topics.
You are also able to contact customer service via telephone. The number provided will charge you at an international rate, but does include English language support. You’ll find the phone line manned between 08:00 and 22:00 CET. If you need help at any other time emailing may be your best bet.

Does Gamebookers Have A VIP Section?
Upon checking the Gamebookers website it became clear that the bookmaker has no current loyalty or VIP scheme to reward customers for their continued support. Searching online revealed that the bookmaker once had a VIP scheme present on their website before getting rid of it when they were bought out. It’s possible that Gamebookers will reinstate another VIP scheme at some point in the future, but at present we have no information on if or when that will be. This, combined with limited customer service options has given the bookmaker a rather paltry six out of ten in this section’s rating.
Gamebookers Licenses & Safety
One of the most accurate reflections of a bookmakers trustworthiness is their license. This shows not only is a bookmaker listed with the relevant authorities in their home country, but also they adhere to the betting rules and regulations enforced by that governing body. Gamebookers is owned by the GVC Group and ElectraWorks Limited, who are based in Gibraltar. As such, they are licensed by the Government of Gibraltar and regulated by the Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner under the Gambling Act 2005.
For players in the UK the bookie has also gained a remote gambling license for both casino and sportsbook products. They also hold a license from the UK Gambling Commission enabling them to provide betting services to UK residents. Any disputes with Gamebookers by UK residents should be directed to them, who will act as mediators between the two parties to gain a resolution.
Gamebookers Puts You First
Gamebookers consider themselves a responsible betting provider, and have provided helpful information for those who feel they may have a problem with gambling. This advice is accessed via the ‘Responsible Gaming’ link which is visible at the bottom of every Gamebookers web page.
Alongside this helpful information is a self-assessment checklist which players can complete to see if they are at risk of developing gambling problems. While not a diagnostic tool, it can provide insight into how an individual player approaches their wagers. This tool can be used alongside other preventative measures such as taking time outs and self-excluding from the Gamebooker website. Players also have the option of adding betting limits to their account to restrict the amount of money spent on betting. These limits can be raised, but take 24 hours for changes to come into effect.
Overall we were very impressed with the gambling support options available on the website and have scored the licenses and safety rating to reflect this.
Gamebookers Review Conclusion
When it came down to the crunch, Gamebookers scored just 73 out of 100 points in our bookmaker test. While this may look terrible on the surface, the bookmaker suffered from a couple of bad scores which brought the overall rating down considerably. One of these, the bonus score, was awarded the lowest mark possible of one out of ten because of the bookies total lack of bonuses. This was a major disappointment, but is something which can be easily rectified in the future.
Overall, though, we were very impressed with the quality of the Gamebookers website. There were real moments of genius, such as the strong support given for gamblers who are struggling with addiction. The bookmaker also had one of the largest live betting and sports selections we’ve seen, beating bigger brands to the post.
Gamebookers Strengths and Weaknesses
Of course, there were a couple of other niggles along the way. The minimal customer support options could have done with a live chat facility or a direct email address rather than an online form to go into more detail with a query. Adding 24/7 support would have also helped greatly. As would a free telephone number instead of one with international charges.
Gamebookers positives more than made up for these issues, though. This bookie offers very competitive odds, with additional price boosts available on selected markets. There was also a great mobile app for Android and iOS customers which allowed players to place live wagers while on the move. Overall, we were very happy to give the bookie a go and recommend to others. For more comparisons on the top bookmakers, head over to our
