First Impression & Registration
Taking a Look at Fun88 Bet
The first thing that strikes us about the Fun88 sportsbook website is the colour scheme and webpage layout. Many bookmakers have a big, bold website laden with video or image content. Fun88 doesn’t have that. Instead their blue toned header is accented with the Fun88 logo and the Newcastle United crest, who Fun88 are currently sponsoring. The result is clean, if not a little stark when compared to other bookies.
From the homepage you can access both the sportsbook and the Fun88 casino. You can also register on the website from the homepage by clicking the green ‘join now’ button from the top of the homepage. To the left of the sportsbook page you’ll find a list of sports that you can bet on, with promotions available at the top of the screen. At the time of writing, there were just two promotions available. Both of these were for football.
Fun88 Review: Site Useability
As demonstrated above, navigating the website is simple, and this is in part because the website is very no-frills. Live betting can be accessed from the top of the sportsbook page, but the selections available are incomparable to bigger bookmakers. Only 40 markets were available at the time of checking, as opposed to William Hill that had 40 for football alone. Despite this, selecting any sports bet we were interested in was easy. All we needed to do was click the market we were interested in and add our stake to our betslip.
Fun88 Website Registration
Much like the registration process in our
Paddy Power review, registering with Fun88 took a matter of seconds to complete. All we needed to do was click the green ‘join now’ button at the top of the homepage and fill in our personal details. We also created a username and password before confirming we are over the age of 18. Once registered we added a debit card to the account and we were ready to get started.
The Fun88 Bonus
If you’re looking for a bookmaker’s website that is jam-packed with bonuses, you’re unlikely to find Fun88 suits your needs. There are only a couple of offers available, both of which are for football. The first one centres around the World Cup and gives bettors a £10 bonus if there is a goal between the 88th-90th minute of the match you’re betting on. While this promotion isn’t that exciting, the other bonus offers a bit more bang for your buck.
This offer in an accumulator deal which pays back your stake up to the value of £50 if your football bet fails by just one leg. It’s easily as good as the sports bonuses found in our William Hill review. Here’s the deal in more detail.
T&Cs apply, 18+. New customers only. Must stake 5 qualifying bets. Min. Stake £10 per bet. Bonus equal to 20% of total staked amount. Max. bonus £28. No E-Wallets. Min. odds evs (2.0) or 2/5 (1.4) for combos. begambleware.org. 18+. T&Cs apply
The Fun88 Bonus in Detail
Giving the Fun88 ratings a boost is this accumulator bonus, which is activated by contacting customer support via email. This is a recurring promo, and you can claim it once every 24 hours whether you’re a new or existing customer. When testing the bonus we found the customer service at Fun88 trustworthy, contacting us within a couple of hours of our initial email.
The offer is only suitable for football bets which have a minimum of five legs or more, and pays out your stake should your initial bet fail by one selection. All legs of your bet must be on odds of 1.70 or greater to qualify.
Checking out the bonus terms and conditions, there are are a few other restrictions to the deal. Firstly, you can’t use the acca protection bonus on any permutation bets. Only straight accumulator wagers are valid. Home win, draw and away win match results are accepted. You also can’t use in-play or ante-post selections in your choices. Lastly, your stake must be for a minimum of £5 to qualify.
While the restrictions on this bonus make it ideal for a very niche selection of players, if you fall into the category of football bettor, this could be a great bonus for you. For that reason we’ve given the bonus an average seven out of ten rating.

Does Fun88 Have a Mobile App?
When it comes to mobile betting, unlike our
Sportingbet review, Fun88 are a little behind the curve. The bookmaker currently doesn’t have a mobile app available, and from a quick glance at their website we could see no indication that this is in future plans. What you can do instead is access the Fun88 website via your mobile phone browser.
Thankfully for fans of betting on the go, this website has been optimised for mobile betting. So those looking for a suitable alternative to an app won’t be disappointed. The mobile sportsbook looks very much like a condensed version of the original website, meaning you won’t miss out on your favourite features either. You also don’t have to worry about device compatibility. While apps are usually tailored to just Apple or Android devices, a website can be used regardless of your phone choice. This allows for a wider number of players to wager via mobile. A stroke of genius, we think.
The Mobile Site in More Detail
Because the mobile site is basically a streamlined version of the original site, no feature is left unavailable. Live betting, casino games and sports bets can all be selected using your fingertips on a website that feels neither basic, nor cluttered. You can also access the two football promotions from the mobile site and activate them via customer service without having to log on to the desktop version. With such an organised mobile facility, we’ve scored the Fun88 sportsbook highly in our ratings. However, because most bookmakers use a mobile app too, nowadays, we’ve had to dock a couple of points for fairness. Still, a good performance from the small bookie.
Casino Games Available
During any review we’re always looking for those things that make you go wow. With Fun88, it is their casino that takes centre stage. While the website is aimed very much at the sportsbook, the casino is also prominently featured, with many slot and table games available on this platform. The result is a balanced website where no area feels neglected.
Slot games on the website are produced by Microgaming, with large progressive jackpots available to scoop. These are truly life-changing sums of cash. One of the most popular of these is Mega Moolah, which currently has a value of almost £6,000,000.
Table games are provided by Red Tiger, and include baccarat, blackjack, poker and mahjong. Each of these games can be tested out before you wager on them, giving you chance to try before you buy.
If you want to be a successful business, you’ve got to embrace social media. Fun88 know this just as well as anyone. You can find Fun88 on two social media websites, Facebook and Google Plus. Of the two, Facebook is well maintained, whereas Google Plus hasn’t been updated since 2017. The social media content on their Facebook page is image heavy with very small sections of text, which makes it easy to interact with. You’ll find over 11,000 Facebook members on the page, so there is a large and ever-growing community of Fun88 supporters available to chat with.
Fun88 Payment Methods
Fun88 allows a small, but reliable selection of payment options on their website, which you can use via mobile or online. These are credit and debit card, Neteller and Skrill. Of these, credit and debit cards are the most commonly used payment method, and offer a level of protection should you be the victim of fraud. Payments made using this method are also protected by 3DSecure technology. You can use eWallet services Neteller and Skrill for instant payments and no fees are charged. We do recommend contacting your payment provider first, though, to ensure no service charges are levied by them
Payments via eWallet services can only be used if the email address on both your chosen payment method and your betting account match. If not, you’ll be limited to card payments only.
Minimum and Maximum Deposit and Withdrawal Limits
When depositing via credit and debit card you can add funds of £10-£5,000 to your account. Withdrawals are set at the same amount. For Neteller and Skrill payments, the minimum you can deposit is £20, with the maximum again capped at £5,000. Withdrawals are available from £10 using this payment method. By capping the maximum withdrawal and deposit at £5,000, this limits those players who are betting with a large bankroll. For casual bettors, this is unlikely to cause much of a problem but still it’s worth mentioning.
One of the high points of Fun88 is their withdrawal times, which are by far some of the quickest seen. This is because the payment methods used on their website are ones that can be processed quickly. Withdrawals made using credit and debit card will take a maximum of three to five working days to process. For Neteller and Skrill, you’re looking at just one day to receive the funds once they’ve been processed. No waiting around for your cash!
Support Options at Fun88
When it comes to customer service, you can contact Fun88 in a number of ways. Probably the most effective of these is their live chat, which allows you to communicate urgent issues as soon as they arise. You can also contact customer service using email form and via email itself. There are two email addresses available. One is for general contact and the other allows you to send supporting information such as identification to the customer support team.
You are unable to contact customer service via phone, which is a shame as it’s always nice to speak to a human when you’ve got a query. Still, with the options available, we doubt there’ll be much of an issue.

No VIP Scheme Available
While many bookmakers choose to reward loyalty amongst their players through a VIP scheme, this is not something which Fun88 has embraced. Instead, they favour a simple approach to their website, with a no-frills layout and basic website content. Players instead are treated to website promotions, such as the two football deals currently available. These are sadly few and far between, though. Because of the lack of VIP scheme and their minimal bonuses, we’ve had to mark the bookmaker down a couple of points for lack of added extras.
Licenses & Safety - Is Fun88 safe?
Fully Licensed in the UK
Is Fun88 safe? The answer is yes. Fun88 is a company based in the Isle of Man, and is regulated by the UK Gambling Commission who is responsible for the online safety of UK players. Their role consists of regulating online bookmakers and their services to ensure they’re fair, impartial and offer good value for money. They also act as a mediator between online bettors and betting providers should there be a dispute over their services. The UK Gambling Commission is widely considered one of the most reputable gambling commissions throughout the world. If you’re a Fun88 EU citizen, you should feel confident in betting online with them, and in the online protection at your disposal.
How Fun88 Keep You Safe Online
Aside from the support you have from the UKGC, players online are also provided support by Fun88 in the event of problem gambling. This support can be accessed by clicking the Fun88 link for responsible gambling at the bottom of the homepage.
The support options available to you are average, but adequate as a starting point for addressing problem gambling. Firstly, players are able to set up betting limits to restrict the amount of money they can spend on the Fun88 site. If necessary, you can also set up self-exclusion and take time outs from the website to keep betting under control. Permanent self-exclusion can also be invoked if you speak to a member of the customer service team. Each and every member of the Fun88 customer service team are trained in social responsibility and responsible gambling, allowing them to give you advice and help you need. This can include information on gambling support websites such as Gamcare, Gamblers Anonymous and various help groups to give you a supportive hand. All this factors definitely make Fun88 safe.
Fun88 Scored 77 out of 100 Points in Our Test
We’ve come to the end of our Fun88 review, and have added up all our ratings for the bookmakers’ site. Their sportsbook scored a very respectable 77 out of 100 in our test, with no aspect of the site showing any major signs of weakness. The average rating for each Fun88 review section was 8 points, with only small deviations from this score. While there was nothing that we found that we didn’t like about the services provided, it would have been nice to see a mobile app and more payment options so the bookmaker could compete with the big boys. There is still quite a lot to be thankful for, though, particularly the great customer and gambling support available to Fun88 players.
Fun88 Strengths and Weaknesses
While the lack of mobile app is a shame, a very good mobile site is available in its place. The bookie also has a great live betting selection available, which covers 22 sports and live streaming on some popular markets.
While there isn’t much to criticise, we do think that the website could do with a bit of an overhaul to brighten it up. The colour scheme of white and grey is a little bland, and while this doesn’t affect the navigation of the website, the appearance could do with some improvement to make it more inviting. Overall, though, we are very impressed with the website and services offered at Fun88, and think its score perfectly reflects a website of this calibre.
