First Impression & Registration
Dafabet Review: First Website Impressions
Log onto the Dafabet website and the first thing that strikes you is the large image advertising the Dafabet sign up bonus. This is given to new players in the event that their first bet doesn’t pay off and goes a long way to proving Dafabet trustworthy and responsible when it comes to taking bets.
Dafabet’s trustworthiness is again strengthened by the reassuring badges at the bottom of the home page which shows their affiliation with Gamble Aware, the IBAS and also the UK Gambling Commission. These are bodies that work hard to protect the average player while they are betting online. Games under the UKGC jurisdiction are fair, impartial, and regulated.
Also displayed on the sportsbook page is a list of the sports markets available to bet on. You’ll find 23 different markets here, each with various wagers available to try and make a profit. Promotions can be found at the top of the page, with each designed to pay out if a previous wager loses.
Navigating the Dafabet website
Useability is key to any website, and Dafabet know that. Those wondering “is Dafabet a good betting site?”, “Is Dafabet scam or is Dafabet legit?”, “Is Dafabet safe?”. You will be relieved to hear of their quick loading times, particularly on the live betting markets and the effortless way in which you can place a wager. All you need to do is click the odds associated with your bet and add your stake. You can even build accumulators in the betting slip itself by adding additional wagers. All you need to do then is type your stake in the relevant box and confirm the bet. It’s as easy as one, two, three. Our Dafabet rating is accordingly positive.
Dafabet Registration
Those wondering how to register at Dafabet, this is for you. Much like what we found in our Fun88 review, registering with Dafabet couldn’t be simpler. All you need to do is click the bright yellow ‘Register’ button at the top of the page. From here, you fill in the one-page registration form and that’s it. You’re ready to get started!
Understanding the Dafabet Bonus
No Dafabet review would be complete without a look at the welcome bonus available on their website. While the Dafabet bonus is a generous one, it is worth noting that it is only paid out in the event that your first bet loses. This has obviously had a detrimental effect to our Dafabet ratings, which suffered because the bonus is not open to every player.
To gain the sign up bonus, players need to register with the bookmaker for the first time and make a deposit of £10 or more using any payment method apart from a Skrill (Moneybookers) account. Once this deposit has been made, you need to place a wager of £5 or more on a sports bet of your choosing. You can’t cash this bet out early. If the bet loses, the amount you stake will be returned to you as an extra bet (capped at a maximum of £30).
The Dafabet Small Print
We’ve got very few Dafabet complaints, but we have to say we were a bit disappointed to find that the welcome bonus had a few restrictions attached to it, not least, that it only pays out if your first bet loses. Still, other terms and conditions are rather simple.
The first thing to note is that both qualifying bets and any bonus funds given as a result of the qualifying bet must be wagered on a sportsbook bet with odds of 1.50 (1/2) or above. Combination bets are also allowed, but all selections in the best must lose and the total odds must also reach 1.50.
To be eligible for any promotion, a player must go through Dafabet verification to see if they are suitable for the bonus. This will usually happen automatically, although supporting evidence may need to be provided. Crucially, you won’t be able to use the sign up bonus if you’ve ever held an account with Dafabet before, or if any member of your household, someone sharing the same IP address, payment method or shared computer has taken advantage of the deal.
If you’d like to compare this bonus to a similar offering, then make sure to take a look at the current offers in our latest Paddy Power review.
No Mobile App for Dafabet
Most bookmakers have a mobile app nowadays, and to be honest, we prefer to bet with them too as they’re ideal for taking on the go. Sadly, a mobile app is not something that’s available at Dafabet yet. This is a real shame as often you’ll find mobile specific bonuses with phone apps. Still, the bookie still has you covered for betting on the go with their mobile site, which you can also access from your PC if you want to use a slimmed down version of the website.
The mobile website design is a little cleaner than the original site. You won’t find lots of data down the side of the website, instead it’s blank space which can look a little bland but makes the overall appearance of the website sleeker when used on an Android or iOS phone.
You’ll find all the sporting markets you could get on the main site in a sidebar menu, which is accessed by selecting the icon at the top left of the screen. Below all of the sporting markets you’ll find the information that was contained on the main website header, including the promotions page.
Are There Any Mobile Specials?
When it comes to offering more, the mobile site disappoints. Some bookmakers offer mobile specific bonuses, but Dafabet do not offer these currently. This may change if they decide to get an app, though. Instead the website’s focus is more on providing as many functions from the original website as possible. In this respect they do well. Even live betting is available on the mobile all, and it was clear we could call Dafabet trustworthy when it comes to live markets. The mobile website updated live markets quickly, helped we’re sure because of the pared down design of the mobile site. Even so, we were more than happy to wager live using this version of the website.
Not Much Else On Offer at Dafabet
While now would be the point in our Dafabet sportsbook review where we introduce something a little different on offer at the bookmakers, we really struggled to find anything. That’s not to say the website isn’t good, or that the service offered at Dafabet is poor. It’s more to do with the size of the bookmaker, and this is undoubtedly a small bookmaker without a casino or bingo section or anything else to set them out from the ordinary. In the end, what we decided to talk about was their FAQ section, which is packed full of useful advice for any player.
The Dafabet FAQ has questions to all those common queries, so if you’re wondering what deposit methods Dafabet uses or what currencies the website accepts this is the place to do it. You can also find vital information on how to set up a betting account with Dafabet and how to maintain it. If you’re experiencing Dafabet withdrawal problems, or looking for the different sports betting types and live bets you’ll find the information here. All in all, the FAQ is a comprehensive guide for those who trying to solve problems without customer service.
You can engage with Dafabet on Twitter or Facebook, where the bookmakers posts content on their upcoming wagers and exciting new betting markets. Dafabet’s social media pages also perform another important function, and that’s to allow players to get in touch with a member of the Dafabet team. Customer service support is available on both Twitter and Facebook during the day with further support available via email and live chat.
Payment Options at Dafabet
When it comes to payment methods you’ve got a few choices at Dafabet. The first two are credit and debit card, which can be used for both deposits and withdrawals. Deposits are instant if used in this way and withdrawals take between three and five working days to process. You’re also also be make deposits using either Skrill or Neteller, but remember that to receive any bookmaker bonus Skrill (moneybookers) cannot be used to make a deposit. Like debit and credit card deposits are instantaneous. Withdrawals can take between 30 minutes to an hour once processed by Dafabet.
Dafabet Fees and Limits
When using any of the deposit methods listed, the minimum amount you can deposit is £10. The maximum deposit amount depends on the payment method used. For credit and debit card the maximum you can add to your betting account is £3,000. This is the same for any of the four credit and debit card options. For Neteller and Skrill the maximum you can deposit is £60,000.
When it comes to withdrawals the minimum you can withdraw using Neteller or Skrill is £10 with a cap of £31,000 for Neteller and £60,000 for Skrill. There are no minimum of maximum withdrawal amounts available for credit or debit card, making it by far the most flexible payment method for withdrawals.
Dafabet are committed to charging no fees when processing deposits or withdrawals on their website. This does not mean that you’ll definitely be fee-free, though. Always check with your payment provider before placing a deposit or withdrawing to discuss any fees that may be attached to your transaction.
Which Customer Support Options Are Available
Contacting customer support is available in a number of ways, including via telephone, which gets you a direct line to the customer service department. Alternatively, you can get in touch with the customer support team via email. The email system is manned 24/7, and you should expect to receive a reply within 24 hours.
As well as email support you can contact customer service via live chat on the Dafabet website, or alternatively try and get in touch using social media. Twitter and Facebook accounts are open to take your queries. Although the majority of customer service is open 24/7, the social media channels appear to be updated throughout the day only. This is something to bear in mind if you’d prefer to speak to customer service swiftly.
No VIP Scheme For Sportsbook Punters
Often you’ll find a bookmaker website that rewards customer loyalty by giving them points that work towards a VIP loyalty scheme for extra bonuses, promotions and special dispensation. But Dafabet’s sportsbook website doesn’t offer that. Instead, loyalty is rewarded via the online promotions that are updated regularly. Every players is treated equally at Dafabet, from the high rollers to the occasional bettors. With no loyalty scheme available, players can take advantage of deals as soon as they arrive, not when they finally save enough points. This is a reward scheme that we can get behind.
Licenses & Safety - Is Dafabet scam or is Dafabet legit?
Licenses From Reliable Sources
While Dafabet may be an Asian bookmaker, the version of their website that services the UK is located and licensed in the Isle of Man and has been since 2007 when the website was created. UK players can be safe in the knowledge that as well as licensing and regulation from the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission, there is also a license from the UK Gambling Commission who are based in Birmingham. Both the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission and the UKGC are very strict when it comes to monitoring a bookmakers’ betting facilities. Their role is to deal with any issues as they arise and ensuring that all bets on the website are fair and impartial, and believe us, they don’t mess about. If a website has a license from them, you can be sure that they’re a safe site to use.
Betting Safely Online
On the topic of safety, as a UKGC regulated bookmaker, Dafabet has an obligation to ensure that players using their website are safe and are given the support they need if they feel their gambling is becoming problematic.
Scroll to the bottom of the home page and you’ll find a link for responsible gaming. In this section of the website you’ll find a Dafabet checklist for players to use to examine their own betting to see if they have a gambling issue. Dafabet have also provided advice for players who are struggling with their own betting including ways to get help from GamCare and other charitable organisations that focus on problem betting. Lastly, you can choose to take a break from the website using their self-exclusion form which can be completed over live chat or manually online. This gives you a soft block from the Dafabet website so you can’t place wagers, and also returns any funds in your betting account to you immediately.
Dafabet Review Conclusion - Is Dafabet safe?
Is Dafabet scam? The Operator reaches 73 out of 100 Points
We’ve reached the end of our Dafabet review and tried to find the answers to the questions: “Is Dafabet scam or is Dafabet legit?”, “Is Dafabet safe?”. It would be fair to say that Dafabet didn’t score the highest marks ever in our Betastic review, but despite their shortcomings in several areas, still scored a relatively high 73 out of 100 points. There are no major issues with the bookmaker, in fact, we found our time spent on their website to be a pleasant experience. However, their lack of resources over bigger bookmakers ultimately led to a subpar score.
Overall, we think that the result fairly reflected the website experience, but we’re sure that with a few minor improvements the site would score much higher. It would definitely benefit from a wider betting and live betting selection, and bonuses that pay out regardless of player’s original wagers would be particularly welcome.
Strengths and Weaknesses – Our Dafabet Rating
The Dafabet rating is average on most of the topics of our review, but did score highly on website fundamentals such as payment options, customer service and website navigation. Improvements are certainly needed, particularly in areas where other bookmakers do so well such as live betting and streaming, and a mobile app is needed to sharpen up the mobile betting functionality. These are fundamentals that most larger bookmakers are using nowadays, so to compete in the cutthroat world of online betting Dafabet will need to evolve or get left behind.
Despite our rather negative conclusion, we feel that Dafabet have done well with the resources available to them and we can’t wait until they find the funds and time to bring their website up to the standards of other similar sites.
