Created in 2016, 21Bet is a British bookmaker with an air for big bonuses. They’re the official betting partner of Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers and have made big strides in the football world with their wide selection of football bets.

Let’s get started on our 21Bet review with an overview of the home page and its contents. From the very first moments on the website we could tell that despite the 21Bet company only existing for two years they’ve given a lot of thought into their website design. The colour scheme is bold – grey with red and yellow accents – and features subtle shading in each sporting area to differentiate between them. Throw in the bright red header segregating the casino and virtual games from the sportsbook, and it was obvious that we didn’t need to ask ‘is 21Bet a good betting site?’ Everything was taken care of and given its own place.
Clicking the promotions tab displayed information on the current welcome deal. This gave our 21Bet ratings a huge boost because it’s a repeating deal that can continue for life if you meet the terms and conditions
The home page is jam-packed with lots of sports bets ready for you to try out. With 21 sports it’s no doubt that you’ll find a wager for you. While you’ll find all the different betting markets listed neatly on the left hand of the screen it’s the header at the top we’re interested in. You’ll find the registration box here, and can log in ready to place a deposit.
Registering at 21Bet is simple. Click the yellow ‘sign up’ button from the top right of the screen and you’ll be sent to the one-page registration form. All you need to do is input your username, email address and password as well as personal details. Lastly, confirm that you are over 18. This completes the registration process and you’re now ready to place bets.
The 21Bet welcome bonus is called Free Bets Forever, and while the bonus is not technically free because you need to place a deposit, it is an interesting deal that can guarantee you have extra funds every week. To receive this bonus you do not have to add a 21Bet coupon code. How it works is this; you sign up with the bookmaker and place five £10 bets. After a week you’ll receive a £10 bonus. Spend the bonus and meet the wagering requirements and you’ll receive another £10 the following week, and the following, and the following, etc.
While £10 isn’t the biggest bonus out there, the fact that it is a repeated bonus is a great boost. It’s no surprise then that it’s a popular deal with many punters.
This is quite a complicated bonus, particularly for new customers so we’ll try and break it down for you. The first thing you need to do is make a £10 deposit using either credit or debit card. You can’t use a prepaid card for this bonus.
Once you’ve made your deposit you need to wager it on a single or cumulative sports bet with odds of 2.00 (Evens) or above. You can’t cash the sports bet out early or you’ll forfeit your bonus. You’ll then need to wager a further £40 in four x £10 bets. Again, the odds need to be 2.00 or higher. You have seven days to use these funds to qualify for the bonus.
After you’ve placed your five bets of £10 you’ll need to wait until the seven days expires before you receive your bonus funds. After that £10 will be added to your account.
This £10 can be spent on any single bet only. The odds of this single bet can’t exceed 6/1. You also can’t cash the bet out early. Should you win your initial stake will not be returned with the winnings. So if you win at 5/1 for example, you will only receive £50, not £50 plus your initial £10. This bonus bet will expire after seven days if you don’t use it, so use it quick.
You can receive £10 bonus every week by following similar guidelines to those above. The only difference is that you are required to place 10 £10 bets to receive the bonus, not the five initially required of you. If you miss one week’s wagering requirements you lose the bonus forever.
Lots of bookmakers are embracing new technologies and creating their own mobile app, but is there really a need for a great app when the mobile site works just as well? That’s what we ask ourselves when we visit 21Bet on our phone. You see, 21Bet doesn’t have a mobile app, but they do have a mobile optimised site which looks like a mini-version of their original site. The colour scheme is the same, the sports bets are the same, you can even play live bets too.
We do wonder if downloading an app would have afforded us a better gameplay experience. Perhaps the app would have been more aesthetically pleasing, who knows? But for what it is the 21Bet mobile site works perfectly well on both Android and iOS phones when tested by us.
Because 21Bet have opted to use a mobile site rather than a mobile friendly app there are no specific bonuses to use on the mobile site. But don’t worry, you can still use all of the sportsbook and casino bonuses available on the full site. As well as the usual weekly bonus there is also a host of cash boost bonuses on sports bets to give you more bang for your buck.
Casino fans also have deals that can be used on their mobile, tablet or desktop computer. Take the welcome bonus for example, which gives players 100% of their first deposit back as an extra bonus. This is capped at a whopping £300!

21Bet has accounts on both Twitter and Facebook to promote their brand and communicate with users of their website. You can access both the Twitter and Facebook account directly from the 21Bet website, which makes interacting with them much easier. Most of the promotion on their Facebook page is focussed around their association with Wolverhampton Wanderers. Their Twitter page is very similar but with a lighter, more relaxed feel. You’ll find jokes and banter on the Twitter site, but also a little bit on info on current promotions too.
One major negative of bet 21 online is their lack of payment options. While most bookmakers offer several payment methods, 21Bet only has two different types – a credit card and a debit card. The types of cards you can use are VISA, Mastercard, VISA Electron, Visa debit card and Maestro. This is a huge disappointment when compared to bookmakers that also allow ewallets like Neteller, Skrill and PayPal. Some bookmakers also offer bank transfer and cryptocurrency too, showing that 21Bet is quite far behind some of their peers.
When placing a deposit your payments should arrive in your betting account immediately. Any delays are probably caused by the payment provider.
The minimum amount you can deposit with your credit or debit card is £10. The maximum amount that you can deposit in one day is £5,000. You’ll be pleased to know that there are no fees for placing a deposit. Deposits are only accepted from the UK and Northern Ireland and are verified using Verified by VISA or Mastercard SecureCode. No other deposits are accepted. While this is unlikely to cause any problems for UK players, it is obviously a disappointment for those living in other countries.
Withdrawals are processed to the card you most recently used to make a deposit. The minimum you can withdraw onto your credit or debit card is £10. You cannot withdraw any bonus funds at any time.
In the event you withdraw funds from your account and the financial activity on your account equates to less than 50% of your last deposit then you may be charged a 5% fee to process your withdrawal. This is subject to a minimum fee of £3.00.
If you need to contact customer service during your time on the betting site there are a number of ways you can do it. The first, and probably quickest way to get in touch is via the live chat facility on the website. To chat you just need to type in your name, email address and a message then a customer service adviser will get in touch. While telephone contact is not possible, you can get contact 21Bet via email. There’s even a specific email just for log in issues which frees up the main email service. As part of our 21Bet review we contacted customer service via live chat and we must say we were impressed. It took the live chat colleague less than a minute to talk to us.
If you’re wondering if 21Bet has their own VIP club they do, although becoming a member is not easy. You can only sign up with the VIP site if you’ve been given an invitation. Quite what you have to do to get an invitation we’re not sure, all we know is that our account must meet set requirements. 21Bet are keeping quiet on quite what they are.
What we do know is when you become a VIP member you receive extra bets for your site loyalty on the sportsbook and the casino. You can also double your football and ITV racing acca bonuses to £50 from £25. Not bad, huh?
Both the sportsbook and casino part of the 21Bet website are fully licensed by the UK Gambling Commission. This gives protection to UK players when betting with the website. No 21Bet review would be complete without examining the betting markets the bookmaker offers. With 21Bet, their name is quite fitting. 21Bet have 21 different sports markets available, as well as a small selection of special bets too. These special bets cover Eurovision and London Marathon wagers. The number of markets is a little smaller than some of their competitors, and there’s nothing really to set them apart from other bookmakers in this regard. However, they do offer a wide, varied selection of international and domestic sporting events. Some of these are also available as live bets, ramping up the entertainment level.
Where 21Bet does very well is their football markets. Football is obviously a very popular sport in the UK, so it’s no surprise that this dominates the sports area of the website. There are currently 121 football leagues and competitions listed at 21Bet, with thousands of bets between these markets on a daily basis. These cover the most popular football leagues such as the Bundesliga and La Liga as well as very obscure football leagues like the Azerbaijan Division 1.
Like most bookmakers out there the 21Bet website offers a wide selection of bets, but nothing out of the ordinary with regards to betting combinations. You’ll find single line bets, doubles, trebles and accumulators as well as combi bets such as Trixies, Heinz and Canadian wagers. These type of wagers are ideal for increasing your potential wins, but of course, with higher winnings comes higher odds. Like most of these types of bets your success depends very much on luck. It’s still fun to try though, right?
You’ll often find special promotions that are tailored to combi or accumulator bets. 21Bet currently have a football treble offer which pays a cash boost of 21% on any treble wins. While most odds on the 21Bet website are par for the course, there are of course bonuses that boost the odds of certain bets. As well as the trebles bonus mentioned earlier, you may also find money back bets which give you enhanced odds or your money back on some accumulator wagers.
You can also access a price boost page via the promotions area of the website. On here you’ll find a list of sporting events which have had their odds boosted if you wager on certain requirements. An example of this may be betting on a specific player to score in a football game. As well as having fixed odds, your stake will usually also be capped at a set amount to minimise 21Bet’s losses. If you’re in the market for that kind of bet, though, it’s a perfect choice for you. Who knows, you may even get a win or two.
At the moment there does not appear to be any information regarding the minimum and maximum betting limits or the maximum winnings allowed per bet or per day. However, you will likely find this information in your betting slip.
Live betting is easily accessed from the ‘In play’ tab on the main menu. While it’s difficult to confirm for sure all of the sports available to live betting we spied football, tennis, darts, golf, rugby league and Aussie rules at the time of writing our review. That’s a decent selection for most players. Click the sporting market you’re interested in and you’ll be given a list of all the possible bets available for that market. For football you might find total goals, match result, handicap and half time/full time score markets. Golf may have wagers on the overall winner and each way bets.
Above your chosen betting market you’ll also see a graphic which illustrates the current result of the sport you’re following. To place your bet all you need to do is click the odds next to your chosen bet and type how much you’d like to wager on your betting slip. Confirm the wager and that’s it, done. Be sure to keep an eye on your live betting market though. You can cash out early if things aren’t going your way.
While the live betting section is great, there is currently no facility for live streaming which is a real shame. We hope that 21Bet gets this sorted in the near future so they can compete with the majority of live bookmakers.
21Bet appears to focused largely on football betting but does offer other sports for punters to wager on. They also offer a quality price boost for the odds they have in their promotions section, which would be well worth taking advantage of. Overall, 21Bet may not blow your socks off but the bookmaker is solid and secure to use.
We’ve reached the end of our review, so what have we found? Well, first off we’d be remiss not to mention the overall score of 21Bet. It scored a great 76 out of 100 in our tests, with consistently good or better scores throughout. Sure, there were a couple of things that let 21Bet down, but on the whole it was a well-organised, enjoyable experience. What’s even more important is their dedication to curbing problem gambling and their work in keeping children away from their website. While every UK bookmaker is required to support vulnerable bettors, it feels like 21Bet have gone above and beyond the call of duty in their day-to-day management of the site.
Of course, not everything else went quite so smoothly. It was a shame that 21Bet had no mobile app available to use for mobile betting, but the website was adequate for the job. Another slight disappointment was the lack of information on the 21Bet VIP scheme. With rather vague comments like “Players need to meet necessary requirements” it left us baffled as to what we needed to do to gain VIP status.
We were heartened to find that the 21Bet website held a UK license. This, along with the dedication to problem gambling made us feel like this was a site that is safe for all bettors. In the often murky world of online gambling, that peace of mind is worth more than even the biggest jackpot win.
