Wolves get off to a good start
Wolves got their 2020/21 campaign to a flying start with a 2-0 away win over Sheffield United. Star man Raul Jiminez opened the scoring while Moroccan Roman Saiss topped off a stellar defensive performance by grabbing the 2nd goal. However, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side were arguably lucky to hold on for the clean sheet, as Sheffield United hit the crossbar and squandered one or two more chances. Many Premier League predictions experts thought that Wolves would have their best players taken by bigger clubs this summer, however Nuno has kept his squad largely intact whilst bolstering it with a few new signings.
City favourites for the title
Despite finishing 18 points behind Liverpool last season, many Premier League tips & predictions experts have pitted Manchester City as favourites this season. Guardiola’s side dropped several points thanks to defensive mistakes, but new signing Nathan Ake should go some way to fixing that while also offering an attacking threat on the break. The Citizens have been afforded extra preparation time going into this tie thanks to their European exploits in August. Therefore, they should go into this game with fresher legs than their hosts, who have a Thursday night EFL Cup tie to get through beforehand.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side were responsible for 6 of the 18 points that separated City and Liverpool last season, as they did an impressive double over Guardiola’s side last season. Adama Traore bagged a brace as he ran ragged in Wolves’ 2-0 away win over City in October last year. Then in late December, we were treated to a 5 goal thriller as Wolves came back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 at Molineux in a game that will go down as a Premier League classic. However, our Premier League predictions today point to a Man City win on Monday.

Our Betting Tip for Today
Having analysed the above information and taken the preseason preparations into account, we’re pitting Manchester City to grab the win this weekend in a low scoring affair
Manchester City to Kick Off with a Win
Wolves got their season off to a strong start last weekend, and were extremely impressive as they did the double over City last season. However, Guardiola’s side have had more time to prepare and recover from their Champions League woes and last season’s disappointment. However, Wolves are still well organised defensively and carry a good attacking threat, so we can expect them to keep the score modest and perhaps even score themselves. Wolves haven’t conceded more than 2 goals in the Premier League since they were humbled 5-2 by Chelsea just over a year ago to the day.
Our official betting tip for this week is Manchester City to win by a single goal, which you can place with bet365 at odds of 3.5. For those feeling brave and looking for the longshot, our exact score prediction is 2-1 City, which is available at odds of 9.
