Mikel Arteta’s Gunners have been a bit hit-and-miss all season but have found some form after the lockdown interlude. They will feel confident heading into what will be a testing game for them. Read on to find out where you can find the best betting value in what should be an exciting game!
Wolves howling at Europe’s gate again
Nuno Esprito Santo’s Wolves team look likely to secure a second successive season of European football, as long as they can hold their nerve. Now just three points behind third-placed Leicester City, the West Midlanders are unbeaten in their last eight league games. They have won all three of their three Premier League games since football resumed in June – scoring four goals and conceding none in the process. Those victories have been a 2-0 win at West Ham United, a 1-0 home victory over Bournemouth, and a 1-0 win in Birmingham over Aston Villa.
Gunners gathering momentum
Mikel Arteta’s Gunners made a poor start to life after lockdown, losing their first two Premier League games after football resumed. They were beaten 3-0 away at Manchester City and 2-1 away at Brighton & Hove Albion, before recovering their form. They won 2-0 away at Southampton in the league before claiming a place in the FA Cup semi-finals with a 2-1 win at Bramall Lane against Sheffield United. They warmed up for this trip to the West Midlands with a 4-0 win over Norwich City at the Emirates Stadium, so their season is picking up momentum at the right time.
These teams have met on 11 previous occasions in the Premier League, and Wolves have won just one of those games. That victory came last season at Molineux, when the Old Golds won 3-1. Arsenal have won seven of the 11 Premier League games, and there have been three draws. One of those draws came earlier this season at the Emirates, when Raul Jimenez equalised in the second half after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had put the Gunners into a first-half lead. Wolves are unbeaten in their last three games against the Gunners, with two of those games ending 1-1.

Our Betting Tip for Today
This game looks like going in favour of the home side, but it will be close. We tip Wolves to win the game, though not by much.
Wolves to edge the win
Arsenal showed against Norwich that their attack is firing again, but Wolves have a very strong defensive record in recent games, as well as plenty of attacking threat of their own. The enforced break seems to have done Wolves good, especially as they have played more games than any other Premier League side in 2019/20 due to their participation in the Europa League. So successful has Wolves’ defensive structure been that keeper Rui Patricio has had only shot to save from inside the penalty box in six hours of football. Wolves’ back three of Willy Boly, Conor Coady and Romain Saiss has been unchanged since Boly returned from injury in March. They have kept seven clean sheets in eight Premier League games since then. Arsenal will need to work hard with the ball to create opportunities. Wolves’ organisation really works well at keeping the ball away from danger areas.
