It’s all been leading to this. The grand finale of Euro 2020 will see Italy go up against England at Wembley for one of the biggest prizes in international football. Italy will want to continue their unbeaten streak, whilst England will want to end 55 years of hurt and finally win something again.

This is shaping up to be a final like no other. Will it finally come home? Or will Italy make England wait even longer for a chance to lift some silverware? In our Euro 2020 predictions today, we’re going to be giving you our betting tip for Sunday’s match, and letting you know who we think will walk away as the Kings of Europe.
Italy want to go all the way
Italy have now gone 33 games unbeaten, and one more game without defeat will see the European Championship trophy go to Rome. It goes without saying that Mancini’s men are in excellent form, and this desire to not only remain unbeaten, but to win the tournament they’ve been favourites to win from the start, will make this a tough match for England.
Last time out, Italy drew 1-1 with Spain before forcing their way through into the final on penalties. The Azzurri’s defence has been great, with the team only conceding 3 goals throughout the whole tournament. They’ve scored 12 goals so far too.
England want to end 55 years of hurt
Could it finally be happening? Will football finally be coming home? England fans will certainly be hoping so, especially after the last 55 years of heartbreak, hurt, and disappointment.
England seem to have been revived since their poor group stage campaign. A win against Germany, a thrashing against Ukraine, and a late winner against Denmark have put the English’s tails up, and Southgate’s men will be going into this final full of belief that they can finish the job.
The Three Lions have scored 10 and conceded just once, which is a really promising record going into this final match.
It’s been pretty equal between Italy and England since their first match against each other back in 1933. Out of 27 games, Italy have won 11 times, whilst England have won 8. There have been 8 draws.
The last time Italy beat England was in the 2014 World Cup group stages in Brazil, a game from which they came away 2-1 victors. The last time England beat the Azzurri was in an international friendly in 2012, though the last time they beat them competitively was way back in 1997, in the Tournoi De France.
The last meeting between the sides came in 2018, in an international friendly, that ended in a 1-1 draw thanks to goals from Jamie Vardy and Lorenzo Insigne.

Our Betting Tip for Today
Having analysed the stats, as well as taken both team’s form and history against each other into consideration, we’re going to be tipping Italy to win this match, but with both teams to score.
Italy to be European Champions
We’re predicting that despite their excellent Euro 2020 campaign, England are going to fall short at the final hurdle this time around.
Italy have been in excellent form, and them reaching the final has never been in doubt. Next to no team has looked like beating them, and though they did have a slight wobble against Spain, we believe that they’ll be able to go all the way on Sunday night, and not only go 34 games unbeaten, but be crowned the champions of Europe.
However, we don’t think England will go down without a fight. England’s front three have been a nightmare for defences in this tournament, and for that reason, we’re predicting that they will score in this match.
Ultimately, however, we think Italy’s experience in major finals, as well as their great form in general, will prove to be too much for this young England side.
Unibet are offering Italy to win, both teams to score for 6/1.
