We’re going to give you some solid Champions League betting tips for this clash. Will Neymar and Mbappe power PSG to their first Champions League title? Or will RB Leipzig once again shock the footballing world with a surprise win? Find out with our Champions League prediction below.
RB Leipzig’s rapid rise
RB Leipzig have grown from being ‘the most hated team in German football’ to being real contenders. Thanks to the expertise of their young manager Julian Nagelsmann, RB Leipzig have been consistently bothering the top of the Bundesliga. Now they have the Champions League in their sights.
Even after the loss of Timo Werner to Chelsea, RB Leipzig can still play quality football. This was recently seen with a fine 2-1 Champions League quarter-final win over Atletico Madrid.
While the RB Leipzig attack looked fairly blunt, outstanding play from Dayot Upamecano gave the German side their first-ever appearance in a Champions League semi-final.
PSG ready to claim the elusive title
It’s hard to believe that Paris Saint Germain have never won the Champions League. But this year could be Thomas Tuchel’s team’s best chance yet. PSG gained their semi-final place thanks to a sensational comeback to beat Atalanta 2-1.
Much of this can be put down to Neymar giving the French team that much-needed spark. PSG’s fortunes could also rest on whether Kylian Mbappe regains full fitness after a recent ankle injury.
Unsurprisingly PSG won yet another French Ligue 1 title earlier this year. But whether the team can finally succeed on European football’s biggest stage remains to be seen.
This game will be the first time that these two teams have ever met in competitive play. However, RB Leipzig did take on PSG in a club friendly in July 2014. This saw the German team walk away 4-2 victors. PSG actually went ahead through goals from Hervin Ongenda and Jean-Christophe Bahebeck. But in the end RB Leipzig sealed the victory with goals from Terrence Boyd, Yussuf Poulsen, Denis Thomalla and Stefan Hierlander. As this was a friendly that took place over six years ago, it probably shouldn’t be used to guide your bets. However it shows that anything is possible.

Our Betting Tip for Today
While it’s good to take account of past form, we think that RB Leipzig have what it takes to stage an almighty act of giant-slaying on Tuesday night.
RB Leipzig to produce shock victory
As good as Paris Saint Germain are, we think that the French team will once again bottle it in the Champions League. This is because they will be facing an RB Leipzig team who have the momentum required to produce a big upset.
RB Leipzig cruised past Tottenham, and managed to break down the notoriously defensive Atletico Madrid. While the German side won’t be creating too many chances, we think that RB Leipzig will frustrate PSG and strike on the counter-attack.
PSG’s fortunes will rest on the dynamic duo of Neymar and Mbappe. With Mbappe still not 100%, there’s every chance that they won’t get the breakthrough that they so desperately crave against a well-organised RB Leipzig team.
So our Champions League tip suggests that you go for a straight RB Leipzig win with Paddy Power’s odds of 4.50 giving you a decent payout for this shock win.
