For our Premier League predictions today we’re looking at an unlikely top four clash, as West Ham host Leicester at the London Stadium. Our Premier League predictions, tips and more follow on below for this exciting fixture.
West Ham Sneak Into Top Four
Ok “sneak” is perhaps doing West Ham disservice, as they are entirely there on merit. However their fourth place position was helped by Chelsea’s surprise 5-2 home thrashing at the hands of relegation-bound West Brom. West Ham have defied most people’s Premier League predictions under David Moyes this season, and lona signing Jesse Lingard was once again on the scoresheet on Monday. West ham do have an injury blow though has captain-in-waiting Declan Rice has been ruled out for four weeks. Moyes will also be worried that they almost below 3-0 first half lead for the second time in a row against Wolves on Monday.
The Foxes Looking Over Their Shoulder
Leicester City have had third place nailed down for most of the season, but will now be looking over their shoulder. A loss in London could see West Ham come within a point of the Foxes, while a Chelsea victory against Crystal Palace would see them move within two points. Brendan Rogers still has injury problems in the side, with seven key players missing, including Maddison, Barnes and Pereira. A bounce back from last weekend’s home loss to Man City will be key to Leicester keeping their distance ahead of the chasing pack.
West Ham won the reverse fixture 3-0 back in October at the King Power stadium. However Leicester’s home form has actually been poor this season, so we wouldn’t let that influence our Premier League predictions for this game. Leicester done the double over West Ham last season, with both games being played before Project Restart. FOllowing the enforced pandemic pause, The Foxes went on to capitulate and drop out of the top four, while the Hammers went on to kickstart the electric form that has seen them where they are this season.

Our Betting Tip for Today

A Sharing of the Spoils in London
Perhaps surprisingly, Leicester go into this game as slight favourites with the bookies, at odds of 2.45. There is logic, though for all fo West Ham’s impressiveness this season, Leicester are the slightly more in form team, save for last weekend’s defeat to runaway leaders Manchester City.
West Ham have scored 3 first half goals in their last two games, but have gone on to concede in both games – Arsenal came back to draw 3-3 and Wolves nearly staged a comeback in losing 3-2 against the Hammers. Should the same defensive frailties come into play again, Jamie Vardy will almost certainly punish the Hammers. If he doesn’t Kelechi Iheanacho. The Hammers haven’t scored six in their last for no reason though, so we can definitely expect goals at both ends. Our betting tip for this week is a draw with both teams to score at odds of 4.33 with Bet365.
