For our Premier League predictions today, we’re heading to the wintry Northwest, where Manchester United host Everton at Old Trafford. Our Premier League tips, betting information and predictions follow on below for this feature fixture.
United bounce back from mini slump
A sock lost to Sheffield United followed by a 0-0 draw at Arsenal had bumped Manchester United down in the eyes of some Premier League predictions experts. However, the silenced their critics in emphatic fashion on Tuesday night, thumping Southampton 9-0 at Old Trafford. They were helped along the way somewhat – teenager Jankewitz got himself sent off in the second minute, and another sending off followed after a poor VAR decision to hand Bruno Fernandes a penalty for an incident that, if anything, should’ve seen Martial receive a yellow card for simulation – but that’s modern football.
Everton need to keep the pace
The Toffees slumped to a disappointing 2-0 home win against struggling Newcastle at the weekend, typifying the rough patch they’re currently experiencing. Despite this, however, Everton still sit within touching distance of the top four and have a couple of games in hand, however they’ll need to get results against Leeds on Wednesday night and against United on Saturday to keep up the pace. Ancelotti strengthened the squad on transfer deadline dat with the signing of Joshua King from Bournemouth. The Toffees have been dealt a blow as first choice keeper Pickford is out for both the Leeds and the Man United games.
Manchester United and Everton have already met twice so far this season, with United coming out on top on both occasions. They won the reverse Premier League fixture back in November, followed by an EFL cup win a month later. Given the way the two sides have been playing of late, our Premier League predictions point to another United win on Saturday. Interestingly, this is the first time these sides will meet inside an Empty Old Trafford. The last three meetings have all taken place at Goodison, with the enforced Covid break meaning the sides didn’t play at Old Trafford in 2020.

Our Betting Tip for Today
Having analysed the above information and considering recent performances, our Premier League predictions point to a United win Saturday.
United to win and keep a clean sheet
Defense hasn’t always been United’s strong point this season, in fact they’re the team who have won the most point from losing positions. However, when the occasion calls, Solskjaer can shut up shop effectively, as he has done the last two games – and did in United’s last meeting against Everton. As was the case against Arsenal, Solskaer will want to keep the Toffees attacking players at bay, whilst allowing the fullbacks to push forward as they did against Southampton. If he does this successfully, we should see a United win and a clean sheet. That’s why our official betting tip for this match is a Home Win to Nil at odds of 2.63 with Bet365. Possible goal sources? As Tuesday night showed, there are plenty of goals in the United side, but backing a Fernandes set piece is always a good shout.
