The chosen match for our Premier League predictions today is Manchester City vs Tottenham – Guardiola vs Mourinho. Always an intriguing tactical encounter – find out what our experts think in our Premier League tips and predictions below.
Man City dominance continues
The Premier League predictions of many experts already have Manchester City’s name engraved on the trophy as they continued their exceptional winning run against Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday. Phil Foden was exceptional in a game that City never really looked like losing – even when Liverpool pegged one back with a Mo Salah penalty. The penalty was conceded as a result of a rare Ruben Diaz mistake, and was the first Premier League goal that City have conceded since January 3rd. In what is consistently being described as an exceptional season, Guardiola is the coach who appears to have found the best recipe for dealing with the unique challenges.
Spurs Hit Rough Patch
Spurs only win in their last five outings in all competitions came against West Brom last weekend, which followed three straight defeats. Their Wednesday night FA Cup encounter was a nine goal thriller, with Spurs ultimately losing out in extra time. There were a lot of positives to take from the game though, as the scored more goals in that single game than they had in their last four. Harry Kane returning from his knock against Liverpool to come on as a sub should boosts Spurs’ hopes of getting another results against City on Saturday.
Recent form doesn’t bode well for Spurs’ Premier League predictions going into this fixture, however the recent head to head record does inspire some hope. Mourinho has came up against his old nemesis Guardiola twice since taking the reigns at Spurs and has won both games 2-0. This weekend sees his first trip to Etihad in charge of Spurs though, and he’s yet to meet City in such scintillating form, therefore past results could go out of the window for the upcoming fixture. Mourinho does have previous for spoiling Guardiola’s parties though – as he did with United in the 3-2 comeback a couple of season back.

Our Betting Tip for Today
Having analysed the above information, our Premier League predictions today suggest another City win on Saturday.
Guardiola to Get One Over on His Old Rival
Despite City undoubtedly having more quality than Tottenham since Mourinho took charge, Spurs have managed to put four goals past Pep’s side without reply. Mourinho is something of a big game master, and does love spoiling potential title runs and parties, even if his team are way off the pace themselves. However whatever tripwire here tries to lay on on Saturday will most likely be spotted by Guardiola as it catches the late evening Mancunian moonlight. After not managing to beat Everton midweek despite scoring four, Mourinho will likely return to pragmatism and keep his pack on a very tight leash. City’s quality should see off an organised Spurs side that are somewhat lacking in confidence, however the return of the Kane-Son partnership should see Spurs grab a goal on the counter.
A City win plus both teams to score is our tip for the day at odds of 3.7 with bet365.
