For our Premier League Predictions today, we’re focussing on the Manchester derby at the Etihad this Sunday afternoon. United have underwhelmed in recent big games, but can they put that to rights this weekend? Let’s find out with our experts’ Premier League tips and predictions below.
Man City Are Running Away with It
It’s almost getting boring now, as week in, week out, all we have to write about is yet another Man City victory – and our Premier League predictions already have blue ribbons on the trophy. Watching City, however, is far from boring as Pep’s side have been emphatic in this winning run that has now stretched two 20 games thanks to their midweek dispatching of West Brom. Pep owes a large amount of this success to squad depth, which has allowed his side to better traverse the rough terrain that this pandemic season has brought.
Boring, Boring Man United
We mentioned above that it’s become boring writing about City’s constant wins for our Premier League predictions. However, that level of boredom pales in comparison to the levels of boredom we’ve experienced watching United in recent weeks. Ole’s men have played out three 0-0 draws in a row, with the only real moment of excitement being a penalty they didn’t get against Chelsea. A run f goalless form is the last thing Solskjaer will want coming up against City, who are better equipped than most to breach their organised defensive line.
These local rivals last met at Old Trafford in the EFL Cup at the start of the year, a game which City won with by a comfortable 2-0 scoreline. The reverse fixture in the league was what has now become a trademark scoreline for Manchester United, especially against the ‘big six’ sides – 0-0. United did win the last derby that was played in front of fans, almost a year ago to the date of this fixture. The Soskjaer vs Pep head to head record is neck and neck. The managers have met each other seven times, all in Manchester, and have won three each and drawn one.

Our Betting Tip for Today
Having analysed the above information, our Premier League predictions today point to a home win this Sunday.
City to See Off the Reds in an Underwhelming Derby
We’ve finally learned our lesson, and we’re going to stop building up any of United’s big games for the remained of the season until we see change. United have now had seven 0-0 draws this season in all competitions – three of those coming in their last three games. History tells us the Ole won’t have the bravery let his side of the leash against such a formidable opponent, even though the league is gone. If we look back to the league 0-0 against Liverpool last month, Klopp’s men were clearly there for the taking, yet United lacked the courage to grab the opportunity, with Ole needing to use that game retrospectively to have a go and beat them 3-2 in the cup the following week. City have more than most in the tank to breach United’s defense, therefore we’re backing a 1-0 City win at odds of 8.5 with Bet365.
