For our Premier League predictions today, it won’t come as a surprise that our featured Sunday fixture is the giant clash between Liverpool and Manchester City. It’s been tough for the Reds of late, but can they do it against Pep’s men once again – our Premier League tips, predictions and more follows below.
Liverpool Bounce Back at the Right Time
If there was an ideal time for Liverpool to rediscover some form, it would’ve been in the games leading up to their clash against Manchester City. Fortunately, they’ve managed to do just that, recording back-to-back away wins in London against Spurs and West Ham. Other good news for the Reds arrived on transfer deadline day, with deals for ben Davies and Kabak both making it over the line to plug the defensive gaps. A bolstered defense could allow Henderson and Fabinho to return to midfield, while also allowing Trent and Robbo the freedom to roam forward.
City’s winning run is now getting so long we’ve almost lost count – with it dating back to November. What will make Pep happy is the variety of ways in which is side have won. From dishing out 5-0 thrashings, to coming from behind to win and seeing out the tough 1-0 slogs, they’ve done it all in recent weeks. What’s perhaps more frightening is that Kevin de Bruyne has yet to hit the heights we know he can and critics are still pointing to their lack of a target man striker. Our Premier League predictions have City top come May.
Despite being a dominant force in English football for nearly a decade now, City have yet to breach the thick red walls of the Anfield fortress. The last time they did so, in fact, was in 2003 when Maine Road was a skint retirement home for Robbie Fowler. What’s perhaps more extraordinary is that the 2-1 nearly 18 years ago is their only one at Anfield since 1981. All that being said, Burnley have broken the Anfield winning run, so perhaps Pep will be feeling more confident ahead of this clash. See what we think with our Premier LEague predictions below.

Our Betting Tip for Today
Having analysed the above information and considering recent performances, our Premier League predictions point to a draw on Sunday.
A Tense Affair Lies Ahead
The last meeting between these sides at the Etihad was a fairly tense 1-1 draw at the Etihad, and we expect both sides to display a bit more caution once again. Liverpool have been more pragmatic this season due to their defensive injuries, and will be aware that losing this game could effectively see them surrender any chances of retaining the title. Pep, on the other hand, has taken a very cautious approach when playing Liverpool ever since the 4-3 game in January 2018 was followed by that famous Champions League tie. We’re therefore being a bit boring and tipping a draw here, which you can back with Bet365 at odds of 3.5. Possible scorelines? Maybe another 1-1 or quite possibly a 0-0. Salah is our top pick for Liverpool goals, while just about anyone from City’s starting 11 could find the net.
