For our Premier League predictions today, we’re focussing all our attention on Merseyside, where the weekend’s blockbuster top-of-the-table clash takes place on Sunday between Liverpool and Leicester. Few Premier League tips betting experts would have foreseen this being the first place decider at this stage, but that’s 2020 for you!
Reds injury woes continue to mount
Yet more injuries, particularly in defence, were the last thing Jurgen Klopp would’ve wanted to have upon returning from the international break. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what he has, with Andy Robertson, Jordan Henderson and Mo Salah all being added to what was already a hefty injury list by anyone’s standards. Ultimately, this could influence our Premier League predictions for this match. Liverpool do still have the fortress of Anfield on their side though, as their unbeaten home record in the Premier League goes all the way back to April 2017, a run they always seem to find a way to extend.
Leicester flying high at the top
Despite back-to-back home losses against West Ham and Aston Villa, the Foxes managed to overcome the curse of the claret-and-blue to find themselves top of the table going into the international break. Keeper Casper Schmeichel’s place in the starting lineup is in doubt after he suffered a knock to the head while on international duty with Denmark, however he has since been back training with his national side. Caglar Soyuncu and Daniel Amartey are definitely out for Sunday’s game, while defender Ricardo Pereira is hopeful of returning to Brendan Rogers’ side for the biggest game of their season so far
The Reds are unbeaten in their last 6 against the Foxes, having won 5 and drawn one of those games. Their last meeting was on Boxing Day last year, a 4-0 home drubbing at the King Power Stadium we’re sure Brendan Rogers would rather forget. Leicester manager has also experienced this fixture from the other side, as he faced his current team twice as Liverpool manager in the 2014/15 season, winning one and drawing the other. He has however, yet to beat his former side as the Foxes couch, however our Premier League predictions today think he’s never had a better chance.

Our Betting Tip for Today
Having analysed the above information, our Premier League predictions today suggest a draw at Anfield on Sunday.
Evenly matched sides to share the points
Under normal circumstances, and with Liverpool even having anywhere close to a full squad, we’d be predicting a Liverpool win without a doubt. That’s no disrespect to Leicester, however Liverpool are the reigning champions and have proven they don’t get beat at home. However, with their injury list bordering on the ridiculous, we see this being a much harder test than it already would’ve been against the Foxes. That being said, the Anfield record doesn’t lie, and Liverpool will be desperate to ensure their fortress remains impenetrable. Brendan will bring his best artillery in the form of Vardy and co – and will most likely even land a blow or two. However, Liverpool could field their reserves and find a away not to lose at Anfield, which is why we’re predicting a draw, which you can back at odds of 3.75 with Bet365.
