Last chance for the Foxes to reach the Champions League
It has been a week of extremes for Leicester City. On Saturday they won the FA Cup for the first time ever, thanks to a 1-0 victory over Chelsea. But they came crashing down to Earth with a 2-1 defeat to the same side on Tuesday. That defeat, coupled with Liverpool’s victory at Burnley, has left the Foxes’ Champions League hopes hanging by a thread.
To finish in the top four and qualify for next season’s Champion League, Leicester need three points in this game and Liverpool to drop points at home to Crystal Palace.
The end of an era for Spurs?
After a season that promised so much, Wednesday’s disappointing home defeat to Aston Villa has left Spurs at risk of missing out on even a place in the Europa League. They currently sit in seventh place, but need a victory here and a defeat for West Ham at home to Southampton, if they are to qualify for the Europa League.
Perhaps of greater long term significance, is Harry Kane’s recent request to leave the club. Whilst he would command a mammoth transfer fee, the loss of Kane would be a crushing blow for Spurs and greatly increase the pressure on the club’s owners.
A late James Maddison strike won this fixture for Leicester last season and ended Spurs’ run of four consecutive victories over the Foxes. When the sides met in London earlier in the season, Leicester also emerged victorious thanks to Jamie Vardy and a Toby Alderweirald own goal.
Tottenham’s last win at the King Power was a 0-2 success in December 2018 and they have won four of their last seven away games against Leicester. They also lead the overall head to head by 57 wins to 37.

Our Betting Tip for Today
After studying the form and researching the predicted lineups, our Premier League prediction is for Leicester City to win and Harry Kane to score at any time.
Foxes to finish in style
It’s hard to see Liverpool slipping up against Palace, but we predict Leicester will keep their side of the bargain by dispatching Spurs. Despite the defeat to Chelsea, the Foxes are on a high after their Cup final victory and will be desperate to finish the season in style in front of their own fans.
Meanwhile, Spurs looked devoid of confidence in their defeat to Aston Villa and are yet to win away since Ryan Mason took over in the dugout from Jose Mourinho. That being said, Harry Kane will want to sign off his Spurs career in goalscoring fashion, so we like the look of a home win, but with Kane scoring a consolation for the visitors.
