For our Premier League predictions today we are of course looking at the Leeds vs Man United match at Elland Road for the first time since 2011. Read on below to find out our Premier League tips, betting info and predictions for this exciting fixture between two in form rivals.
Leeds Unbeaten in Five
Leeds have lived up to and surpassed their Premier League predictions this season, in providing us with front-foot, entertaining football. They are now unbeaten in their last five, which includes three wins, including the smash and grab win with ten men away to manchester City. Additionally, they have also held both Liverpool and Chelsea to a draw in that run. Marcelo Beilsa is missing three players for Sunday’s game, with Raphina and Rodrigo out injured, while Liam Cooper following his straight red vs Manchester City two weeks ago. Still Leeds have plenty in their locker to throw at United.
United Making Ground on City
Realistically, United have no chance of becoming Champions in the eyes of our Premier League predictions, but it is now getting more interesting at the top. If the Red Devils manage to beat Leeds on Sunday, they will move to within eight points of City with five games left to play. Interestingly, that’s the same position City were in around this stage of the season during the 2011/12 campaign – which was won with the famous “Aguerooo” goal. Solskjaer has a largely fit squad to choose from, with only Anthony Martial and Phil Jones out for this one.
The last meeting at Old Trafford was a thriller, but one that Leeds fans will quickly want to forget. It was the first top flight meeting between the old enemies in 16 years and United Thumped the newly promoted side 6-2. The Red Devils blitzed Leeds in the opening minutes of the game, with Scott McTomminay grabbing brace inside three minutes. It then went from bad to worse for Leeds, as Man United were leading 4-0 by the 37th minute, before Liam Cooper grabbed a consolation goal to make it 4-1 at half time.

Our Betting Tip for Today
Having analysed the above information, our Premier League predictions today point to a win for Manchester United
Man Utd to Win a More Subdued Affair Than Last Time
Just like the Old Trafford game, we see Manchester United winning this match. Unlike the reverse fixture though, we definitely don’t see it being another eight goal thriller. Leeds last three wins have all been by a 2-1 scoreline, while United haven’t won a game by a margin greater than two goals since February. United have won their last three Premier League games, but have conceded in each, Furthermore, they have won the most points from losing positions. Leeds have also conceded in each of their last four, winning three and drawing one. We’re therefore backing another Manchester United win with both teams scoring at odds of 3.3 with bet365. However, we’re calling a more modest scoreline than the eight goal thriller we were treated to back in December. The most likely results will be either 1-2 or 3-1, but we’re not confident enough to back an exact score bet.
