For our Premier League predictions today, we’re turning our attention to Merseyside, where a recently faltering Everton side host a struggling Manchester United side in a game that could decide the managerial future of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Premier League tips, predictions & more to follow…
Everton started off this season looking like the league’s surprise package, as they won their 4 opening games in emphatic fashion, and remained top of the table after 5 games following a draw with Liverpool. However, the Toffees finally came unstuck in match day 6 against a quietly impressive Southampton side, before slumping to a shock Sunday defeat to Newcastle. The question now asked of Ancelotti’s side is if this is a mere blip in an otherwise positive campaign, or has the Elephant fallen from the tree to restore natural order? Our Premier League predictions will tell all below.
Solskjaer’s job hangs by a thread
It’s been a yoyo season for United to say the very least. The Red Devils suffered humilation at the hands of Spurs before the international break. However, United looked to have things back on track as they won away to Newcastle before beating PSG and RB Leipzig in the Champions League either side of an excusable 0-0 draw at home to Chelsea. However, a 1-0 home loss to Arsenal followed by a shocking Champions performance away to İstanbul Başakşehir now means that this Saturday is make or break for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s future at the wheel of Manchester United.
The last two games between these sides have ended in a 1-1 draw, and our Premier League predictions today suggest that could become a hattrick. In fact, if you look t the scorer for either side in the last game, Dominic Calvert-Lewin for Everton and Bruno Fernandes for United, then Saturday’s game could very well end up a carbon copy of its predecessor back in March. The last time this fixture served up a winner was at Goodison in April 2019, a game that saw the Toffees thrash United 4-0. A repeat of that scoreline on Saturday could see OGS lose his job.

Our Betting Tip for Today
Having analysed the above information, our Premier League predictions today point to a 3rs successive draw at Goodison on Saturday.
A point for either side – and a P45 for Ole
Both sides will feel they vitally need to win this fixture, however there’s more at stake for the men in red – or rather their man in the dugout. The big question here is, will the United players give their all to try and save Ole’s job, or will they let him go with the hopes of a Pochettino revolution? For Everton, it’s all about returning to winning ways, as their impressive start has been quickly halted by teams that they’ll feel they should’ve beaten given their early season form. Our prediction is that these two out-of-form sides will ultimately cancel each other out. In terms of scoreline, we could very well be looking at a third 1-1 draw on the spin for this fixture. Our betting tip for this one is to back a draw @ 3.6 with Bet365 on Saturday.
