For our Premier League predictions today, we’re heading to the Amex, where now-safe Brighton host West Ham, who still have glimmer of hope in the top four race. Out Premier League tips, predictions and odds recommendations follow on below.
Brighton Dealt Lewis Dunk Blow
As most Premier League predictions would’ve thought, Brighton are now mathematically safe thanks to Fulham’s Monday night defeat to Burnley. Having Brighton’s safety secured without having to kick a ball will have given manager Graham Potter a huge sigh of relief. The Seagulls will be without captain Lewis Dunk this Saturday after he was sent off against Wolves last weekend. Brighton’s results of late have helped secure their Premier League status, with a win over Leeds, and draws against Chelsea and Everton giving them much needed points in April.
Hammers Looking to Bounce Back
West Ham have defied most Premier League predictions this season under David Moyes, by the very fact they’re even in the top four race. Despite it being a successful season regardless, last weekend’s defeat to Everton and a recent surprise defeat to Newcastle might make the difference for West Ham’s league position come the end of the season. A win this weekend helps keep them in the race for the Champions League spots, though Europa League football looks to be a far more likely possibility for West Ham and David Moyes next season.
Since they got promoted back in 2017, Brighton have become something of a bogey team for West Ham. The Hammers have failed to win against Brighton since their promotion, with the last four matches all ending in score draws. Prior to that, Brighton ahd won their first three games on the bounce against West Ham following their arrival to the top flight for the first time in the Premier League era. Brighton will be without three key players for this meeting though, including Lewis Dunk, which could see Moyes grab his first win vs the Seagulls.

Our Betting Tip for Today
Having anaylsed the above information, our Premier League predictions today suggest a West Ham win on Friday night.
West Ham to Keep a Glimmer of Top Four Hope
Four things have gone West Ham’s way ahead of this Saturday’s game. Brighton will be without captain Lewis Dunk and French target man Neal Maupay, as well as Joel Veltman who will miss the game through injury. Additionally, Brighton’s safety was secured on Monday night thanks to Burnley beating Fulham. Therefore West ham are now coming up against a side who are playing for pride, rather than fighting for survival.
The last four games have ended in score draws, and West Ham have failed to beat Brighton in all seven of their Premier League meetings. However the factors mentioned above should be enough to make the difference – alongside West Ham’s quality of course. Our betting tip is therefore to back a West Ham win plus both teams to score at surprisingly generous odds of 5 with Bet365.
