For our Premier League predictions today, we’re looking at the M23 Derby, as Brighton host Crystal Palace at the Amex on Sunday. The Palace players are the only Sotu Londoners getting a seaside getaway during lockdown – check our Premier League tips and betting info below.
Buoyant Brighton Undefeated in Six
Aside from their FA Cup exit to Leicester last week, Brighton are in good form under Potter, and are undefeated in their last six Premier League games – a run that includes back to back wins over Spurs and Liverpool. Things looked bleak earlier in the season, but our Premier League predictions now have Brighton as curtains for safety. Goals aren’t their strongpoint, but neither is conceding. SInce their 3-3 draw with Wolves on January 2, all League games Brighton have been involved have ended 0-0, 1-0 or 1-1 – it’ll take a strong Saturday night curry to get a No. 2 out of Brighton on Sunday!
No Zaha No Goals
It’s been the problem for Palace in the Hogeson era – when Zaha doesn’t play, Palace don’t win – in fact, they rarely even score. After their talisman came off with a hamstring injury in their 2-1 win over Newcastle on February 2, Palace have lost back to by games, conceding five without reply in the process.Palace have the joint worsed defense this season – something that will worry Roy Hogeson, who has built his Palace team on a try-not-to-lose philosophy. Our premier League predictions suggest that palace could slip into a tough relegation battle if they’re not careful.
As you probably expected from two side that set up not to get beat and that lack firepower, this hasn’t been the most thrilling of derbies since Brighton’s promotion to the Premier League. The last three games have served up two 1-1 draws and a 1-0 win for Palace. All in all, the sides have met eight times since Brighton’s promotion, with Brighton winning three, palace winning two and three games ending in a draw. Despite the modest scorelines, Brighton have only kept one clean sheet in this fixture, while the Eagles have just two in eight games.

Our Betting Tip for Today
Having analysed the above information, our Premier League predictions today suggest a Brighton win on Sunday.
The Seagulls to Shutout the Eagles
Of the two sides, Brighton are by far the in form team, even if fire power’s a bit of an issue. Despite the lack of goals, Brighton have managed to break down far sturdier defences than palace’s while also keeping their own backend in check. With Zaha still injured, the chances of breaking down this Brighton defence – the best in the bottom half of the table – is slim. Brighton have gone two games without scoring though, and lack a talisman – top scorer Neal Maupay has just seven for the season in all competitions. Our betting tip for this one is to back a Brighton clean sheet at odds of 2.1 with Bet365. Although we think that Brighton will edge the game 1-0, we’re not totally ruling out the prospect of a 0-0 draw, or even a higher scoreline for Brighton. The one certainty however, is the lack of a Palace goal.
