While the possibility of relegation always looms heavy in the minds of recently promoted teams, we think the intensity will be ramped up facing former Championship rivals. That means no matter our Premier League predictions, we’re hoping for a thrilling contest. Will Norwich finally showcase the skills that once dominated the lower leagues? Or will the Bees’ sting continue to be felt in the top tier? That’s what our Premier League tips predictions are here to find out.
Have Recent Losses Clipped Brentford’s Wings?
Things started pretty much perfectly for Brentford. Their 2-0 win over Arsenal shocked the Premier League, and put every top team on notice. Best of all may have been their astonishing performance in that 3-3 stalemate against Liverpool.
Their loss against Chelsea was a disappointment results wise, but it was felt that the performance was strong enough to be confident heading into upcoming contests. If one of Bryan Mbeumo’s two strikes had just been a touch more accurate, it would be a different story. But Premier League predictions today are not made of could have beens. The confidence though, didn’t yield results, with losses to Leicester and Burnley not just failing to get points but also showcasing a worrying fall in form.
Norwich at Rock Bottom
Any reasonable Premier League predictions today have to admit that Norwich City’s Premier League dream has so far turned into a nightmare. Starting off against Liverpool and Man City was rough and they never got off the ground since then. Their nadir came in a merciless 7-0 loss to Chelsea.
There’s been some positives performance wise. They could have easily beaten Leicester were luck on their side. They valiantly fought back in their most recent game against Leeds, but again could not get the job done – with a 2-1 result leaving them 10 games without a win and eight points deep into the relegation zone. If they have one thing going for them this Premier League weekend, it’s that they will desperately want to win this one.
Norwich need some kind of positives in these Premier League predictions and we actually have a little bit of good news for their fans. History is on their side. Your Premier League tips betting shouldn’t ignore the fact that not only do Norwich have the overall historical advantage – they have won 27 games compared to Brentford’s 22 since they first met in 1920 – but they’ve also bested the Bees in virtually all their recent contests. That includes back in March of this year: a 1-0 win in those heady days of the Championship.
They also bested Brentford in two 1-0 wars from 2018. The Bees did manage a duo of draws and a win in 2017, but there’s no doubt for our Premier League predictions today that history favours Norwich.

Our Betting Tip for Today
At the risk of being perhaps a little bit straightforward and obvious this Premier League predictions weekend, we still have to go with what we think offers you the best possible value. That’s why our Premier League predictions are going with the favourites, Brentford to walk away victorious.
We’re Backing Favourites Brentford to Win
It’s worth pointing out that this doesn’t happen all that often. Our betting tips don’t just have to provide us with a market that we think is likely to happen but also one which we think also offers great odds value. That’s why we typically don’t go with backing such heavy favourites. However, taking everything into account – even with the Bee’s position with shorter odds – we still think that they represent good value.
Put simply, there’s nothing we’ve seen from Norwich City – save perhaps the odd moment of hope from the likes of Pukki – that makes us think this game is going to be the one where they turn it all around. It could happen, of course. They’ve been close to victory on several occasions and have beaten Brentford recently. But their recent form doesn’t make us think that is the likely outcome.
We can’t even say that we think their motivation to get themselves out of their rut will be the defining factor. Brentford will also be fiercely focused following a trio of losses and frankly, desperation hasn’t done much to provide Norwich with victory yet. All things considered, this time we’re backing the favourites and saying that our betting tip is for Brentford to win.
