For our Premier League predictions today, we’re focussing on Saturday’s clash between Manchester United and Chelsea. As always, our experts have analysed the facts, stats and more to bring you the very best quality Premier League tips & betting forecasts for this fixture.
United bounce back from Spurs Shock
Manchester United ended things horrifically before the international break. They were humbled 6-1 at home by Tottenham in a match few Premier League predictions experts would have foreseen. However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have managed to bounce back strongly. They followed up a convincing 4-1 win away to Newcastle with an impressive away win against PSG in the Champions League. There had been doubt about Marcus Rashford’s form prior to the international break, but he grabbed the 4th goal and the weekend and the dramatic late winner in Paris. Portugese marvel Bruno Fernandes now has the captain’s armband.
Inconsistent Chelsea need a big win
Frank Lampard spent big over the summer, which led many to tip his Chelsea side as title contenders. However, it’s been a shaky and inconsistent start to the season for the Blues. Goals appeared not to be the problem for Lampard’s side, as they’ve netted 13 in five premier league games, however their Champions League clash on Tuesday ended in a goalless draw. The newly signed German Duo of Kai Havertz and Timo Werner have impressed on occasion, but appear to still be adapting to the English game. The big problem as they’ve shipped 3 goals on two occasions.
These sides last met in an empty Wembley back in July for an FA Cup semi final that saw Chelsea come out on top. Their last premier league meeting was at full (remember fans at games?!) Stamford Bridge back in February. The game ended in a 2-0 win for Man United thanks to goals from Martial and Maguire. United did the Double over the Blues last season as they won 4-0 in the opening game at Old Trafford. There’ not a lot separates these two sides in terms of quality, making this a tasty fixture for our Premier League prediction weekend.

Our Betting Tip for Today
Having analysed the above information and recent form, our Premier League predictions point to this match ending in a home win.
Man United to continue turn in fortunes.
Part of what makes this such an enticing fixture in the similarity and unpredictability of these two teams. They are both in some form of transition and are capable of shock losses and thrilling victories. Man United have turned things around since losing 6-1 at home to Tottenham. While Chelsea followed up their 4-0 win over Palace pre-international break with a 3-3 draw with Southampton followed by a goalless Champions League outing. If we consider this, then United are the informed team at the moment. Furthermore, United did the double over Chelsea in the league last season and will undoubtedly want to continue that run. We’re therefore predicting a home victory for United this Saturday late afternoon. If you’re looking for scorers to back, a Bruno Fernandes penalty is always a good shout. Additionally, we’d recommend backing Marcus Rashford to continue his new found form.
