Manchester United have been in great form in recent times, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Red Devils will feel confident when they welcome struggling Bournemouth to Old Trafford on Saturday. United are breathing down Chelsea’s neck in the race for a top-four finish in the Premier League, while the Cherries are firmly locked into a battle against relegation.

Eddie Howe’s team desperately need the points as they are second from bottom in the table and look to be sinking fast after a dreadful run of results since football action resumed in June. Read on to see where the best betting value can be found in what should be an intriguing game.
United Ending Season with a Surge
Manchester United have been in great form since football action resumed in June. The Red Devils have drawn one and won three of their four Premier League games since the restart. They have not lost in 15 in all competitions. Young forward Mason Greenwood has emerged as the man to watch, hitting his sixth Premier League goal of the season in the 3-0 win at Brighton & Hove Albion in midweek. He has directly contributed to 18 goals in 2019/20 in all competitions, having scored 13 goals and provided five assists. Solskjaer has insisted that the 18-year-old can only get better too.
Cherries choking as season ends
Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth side are beginning to look doomed. They are now second-from-bottom in the Premier League table, with 27 points. While they are just a point behind Watford in 17th, their fixture list looks punishing. After United, they face games against Tottenham Hotspur, Leicester City and Manchester City. Those are not the teams to face when you are as desperate for points as the Cherries. They have lost their last four Premier League games, and were thumped 4-1 at home by Newcastle United in midweek. The absence of Ryan Fraser, who is set to leave the club shortly, has not helped their anaemic attack.
Until 2015, when Bournemouth arrived in the Premier League, clashes between these two teams were rare. Since then, United have had the best of the games between the sides, but the Cherries did beat the Red Devils earlier this season at the Vitality Stadium, thanks to a Joshua King strike on the stroke of half-time. In total, there have been nine Premier League meetings between these sides, with the Cherries winning just two of those. They have never won in the Premier League at Old Trafford. United have won six of those Premier League meetings and there has been one draw.

Our Betting Tip for Today
It is very hard to look beyond a United win for this game. Bournemouth are in awful form and look to be sinking fast when it comes to the Premier League relegation battle.
United are clear favourites
United are strong favourites to win this match, and it is impossible really to look beyond a home win for the outcome of Saturday’s game. Bournemouth have lost their three games since Premier League action resumed, and have scored just one goal in those three matches while conceding seven. United, in contrast, have won two and drawn one of their three Premier League matches since the resumption, and have also beaten Norwich to win a place in the semi-finals of the FA Cup.
It is no surprise then to see that William Hill are offering a price of 1.14 on a home win on the 1X2 market. We expect the Red Devils to win this game comfortably, and the Cherries’ defence could well be in for an afternoon of pain at Old Trafford on Saturday. We suspect that United will win to nil, and the margin of victory will be at least two clear goals.
