Premier League Betting Tips Today
After an unusually short break thanks to the Covid-19 pandemic, we’re back with another Premier League prediction weekend. As always here at Betastic, our experts have analysed the stats, facts & figures when creating our Premier League tips & betting predictions.
For our Premier League predictions today, we’re turning our attention to a Northern fixture that’s been absent from the Premier League for over 16 years. It’s Champions vs Champions, as Premier League winners Liverpool host Championship winners Leeds at Anfield on Saturday afternoon in the late kick off.
Reds Look to Continue Anfield Unbeaten Record
With or without fans, the Reds have ensured that Anfield remains a fortress, and avoiding defeat on Saturday would extend their unbeaten home Premier League run to 60 games. The last time Klopp’s side tasted defeat on home turf was in April 2017. Arguably, Liverpool’s unstoppable form dropped slightly towards the end of last season, as they slipped to a couple of disappointing defeats. Moreover, this campaign got off to a disappointing start as they lost the Community Shield to Arsenal on penalties. Despite no high profile additions to their squad, our Premier League predictions still point to Liverpool keeping up their undefeated home run on Saturday.
Leeds looking to Start Strong
Marcelo Bielsa’s side couldn’t have been handed a tougher test to kick off their first campaign in England’s top flight for 16 years. However, they will be spurred on by their impressive away form towards the end of last season, which saw them win 5 of their last 6 games on the road. All Premier League predictions point to a Liverpool win, but Bielsa has strengthened his squad of the summer, most notably with the marquee signing of Rodrigo from Liverpool. Not matter what the outcome, we can expect an entertaining performance from Leeds.
The last time these sides met was in an EFL Cup tie back in November 2016 at Anfield, in a game Liverpool eased to a 2-0 win thanks to goals from Divoc Origi and Ben Woodburn. Both sides have vastly improved since then, however. While Klopp has since gone on to build his own squad and become Champions of Europe and England, Bielsa has since joined Leeds, transformed the side and brought them back to their rightful place in the Premier League. We couldn’t have asked for a better fixture for our opening Premier League predictions weekend.

Our Betting Tip for Today
For our Premier League predictions today, we’re backing a home win, but reckon Leeds have a chance of finding the net at Anfield this Saturday evening.
Liverpool to make it 60 unbeaten at Anfield
This will undoubtedly be a tougher opening test against a newly promoted side than Liverpool had last season, when they eased passed Norwich 4-1 at Anfield. Like Klopp, Bielsa favours a high press and attacking football. And we’d be very surprised if he sacrifices his principles to respect the strong opposition. Additionally, Liverpool have looked far from stable at the back, as they’ve conceded in each of their last 6 competitive games, while Leeds have scored in each of their last 8. Therefore, we expect Liverpool to get over the line, but not so easily, and think Leeds will definitely score at least once. Our official betting tip for this Saturday’s late kick off is a home win plus both teams to score, which you can place with SkyBet on odds of 2.75.
