As the DFB pokal is being contested by Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich, who are both guaranteed European football next season, Hoffenhiem’s place in the Europa League 2nd round qualification is already secure. A win against Dortmund on Saturday could potentially see Alfred Schreuder’s men gain direct qualification to the Europa League, depending on Wolfsburg’s result against Bayern Munich.
